    Questions in this Episode

    1. Is it ok for me to serve communion to my family around dinner?

    2. Is it sinful to get a tattoo to memorialize my friend who died?

    3. I have heard that when a believer sins we are separated temporarily from God. I don't think people mean we have lost our salvation when they say this, but this seems confusing and maybe unhelpful. Is the language of being separated or losing God's presence appropriate in light of the New Covenant realities we have as Christians?

    1. If Jesus is God, why doesn't he know the time of his return?

    2. How do you know if you really want Jesus and it's not just your emotions? I am dealing with thoughts saying, "I don't want to follow Jesus or repent." Is that my heart or my flesh? Is it me being a sinner and being lost? I don't see any fruit in my life and feel unstable in my Christian walk. I believe I have a lot of head knowledge but am not sure what to do.

My Spouse is Twisting Scripture to Justify Abusing Me. What Should I Do? Apr 20, 2022

Episode 949 | Adriel Sanchez and Bill Maier answer caller questions.

    Show Notes

    CoreChristianity.com

    Questions in this Episode

    1. What constitutes as a good prayer?

    2. What is blasphemy, and if you blaspheme the Holy Spirit are you not also blaspheming the Father and the Son since they are one God?

    3. I recently spoke to a man who actually said that he hits his wife to "chasten her." He seemed to be happy about it and he said, "well we are supposed to love our wives as Jesus loves the church and He chastens those He loves." That made me angry and so sad. I was shocked. I know he is misusing scripture for his purpose, maybe something is wrong with him. I simply said that if you beat your wife you are not a man or a Christian. What do you say to such a "man"?

    4. My friend's husband is verbally and mentally abusive. I think the Bible speaks of adultery as being the only grounds for divorce so how can I help her? She has spoken with our pastor and he told her "remember your vows" and I do understand that, but I feel it's abuse even if it isn't physical and I'm worried for her.

    5. How does the Bible define "election"?

Is It Ever OK to Use Explicit Language in Our Prayers to God? Apr 19, 2022
    Show notes

Episode 948 | Adriel Sanchez and Bill Maier answer caller questions.

    Show Notes

    CoreChristianity.com

    Questions in this Episode

    1. We believe that the OT saints were saved by looking forward to Christ. But were they regenerated, were they what we would call "born again"?

    2. How can I put sin to death in my life?

    3. Is it ever ok to use explicit language in our prayers with God? For instance, there is a Christian band called Kings Kaleidoscope and they use the f-word in one of their songs. I have heard defenses for using this language because the writer was in a time of grief after the loss of his son. I bought this for a while, until I found a YouTube video of a concert where they sang this song, and there were a lot of young people belting out the f-word. Is it okay to publicize, publish, and repeat an explicative just because it is genuine and heartfelt?

    4. If you accept Christ on your deathbed, can they be truly saved?

    5. Does Ezekiel teach that the sacrificial system will be renewed?

    6. Why didn't the disciples notice any of Jesus's other words?

    2. Did Jesus ever go to hell after the resurrection, did he descend to the dead?

    3. I know the Bible includes verses on how to deal with anxiety. But why is it so hard to cast our burdens to him? When I do that I still have a fear that overpowers me. I really don't like medicine, it doesn't make me feel safe. I am trying to give my life to God but I fall short. I just want to overcome my anxiety. Is there any solution?
