John Horstmann and Sharku join the crew for this week’s show (mainly on Overwatch).

Overwatch went live this week, so the guys jump straight into the Battlenet News for stories surrounding the launch. The joys, the salt, and the community interest in this fantastic game have been incredible over the last few days, so the crew dives in to discuss many different aspects of Overwatch.

Since the last CtR, World of Warcraft’s next expansion has gone into beta development, allowing even more people to see what’s in store for Legion. While this episode doesn’t go into any depth on the gameplay, the guys are planning future shows as we head toward the August 30th launch.

One item did stick out this last week, as Ion “Watcher” Hazzikostas took to the forums in another Developer Watercooler discussion on PvP gear in Legion. Instead of resilience or PvP Power, the devs are making PvE gear and PvP gear THE SAME. How will this affect those who have chosen one aspect over the other, or does it even matter? Will this finally help WoW PvP stand on even footing with raiding?

This week, John Horstmann from Well Met and The Payload podcasts (at http://blizzpro.com) joins the crew with Sharku. While technical difficulties messed with the last show, there is now a veritable smorgasbord of news to discuss!

Legion, the next expansion for World of Warcraft was announced to launch on August 30, 2016. Both cheers and salt can be heard from the community, and the guys discuss their own opinions on the matter.

J. Allen Brack took to the forums to discuss the shutting down of the Nostalrius legacy servers and mentioned the idea of “pristine servers” that would, in essence, remove bonus XP and other “easy buttons” while still playing the game in its current state. Is this enough to address what Nostalrius members were after? What can Blizzard do that would make sense for both the company and the community?

Hearthstone launched its new expansion “Whispers of the Old Gods” this week. The crew talks about the cards, the expansion and more as they try to figure out the new meta.

Blizzcon 2016 has been announced, and will be held November 4-5 in the Anaheim Convention Center. The real question is, can they fit everything in in just two days?

Mythic+ dungeons are being tested for the next expansion of World of Warcraft. Keystones will be able to make these dungeons more difficult, even adding up to two different affixes to up the ante. If these work like the developers want, could these new dungeons put raiding in jeopardy, or will they simply bolster the ranks?

BattleNet Voice is coming to the launcher and is currently in alpha. Soon you’ll be able to text and voice chat with your friends and guildies across all of the Blizzard games. Other big news that just dropped is about how mounts effect the leveling experience. In the next expansion you will not be able to rely on your Water Strider mount to help you stay above the fray, as they will only work in previous content. More inside.

The EU took the prize for the Legion Dungeon Race this last week, though the big winners were the fans. Not only did they get to see some different strategies, but also got to take a look at the Maw of Souls dungeon -- an amazing instance that may require dramamine!

Class Order Halls got an update in the alpha, with the new mission table. Will this manage to be everything the developers hoped would become of garrisons, and what will this mean for players as they explore the new zones?

Also, the Q4 earnings call, trinkets will be getting a makeover for 7.0, Turretwatch is the meta since Overwatch beta came back, and Heroes of the Storm keeps getting retuned. All that and more in another fun filled show!

In the Battlenet News, Hearthstone will be releasing a new way to challenge others with Standard Play - where you can only play the more recent cards. But don't worry, Wild play will have all of your favorites.

Other than all we’ve been doing on live servers, Legion alpha continues to be the main source for news in World of Warcraft. The crew will give all of their experiences on how various classes are playing along with some of the sights without giving away any big lore spoilers. The good, the bad and the alpha!

In other Blizzard games, Game Director Jeff Kaplan announced that Overwatch should be coming back in mid-February with a bunch of new stuff, including new maps and at least one new game mode. The guys discuss the details.

And Heroes of the Storm announced the wizard and necromancer characters from Diablo. Game Director Dustin Browder announced them on Stormcast along with addressing some upcoming balancing and gameplay features.
