Show notes
In this show, my dear friend Sheri Hupfer returns to enchant us around the rare, chlorophyll-lacking plant ally Ghost Pipe. I was surprised to have never heard of this beauty of the underneath, friend of Pluto, and medicine for our fears. Now that I am familiar, I long for the day when I get to meet her in the dark forest. Until then, enjoy this Plants and Planets show. And use the link below to Sheri's site if you would like to get some Ghost Pipe medicine for your apothecary.
DISCLAIMER: Pulsatilla + Ghost pipe are rare and delicate beings whom are not found readily in most parts of the world. It is important to remember that there are many ways to work with these plant allies that do not involve ingesting them. Plant journeys, flower essences and drop doses are all wonderful ways to deepen in exploration with such medicine.
Remember- being called to work with a plant does not necessarily translate to harvesting it yourself, especially when it comes to our more rare and endangered friends. The Ethical harvesting checklist is an essential guide when assessing a stand of plants for without bringing both the science and the intuition into the forest, we are no better than our colonizing ancestors.
