Lara Capuano - Grief and Rice Krispie Treats Feb 22, 2018
    Show notes

We giggle about extinct cell phones and 90's pop culture references that are lost on Lara, the bliss of eating a truly homemade rice crispy treat (with Laura secret ingredient ) and we also talk about how to love on somebody who's hurting or grieving. And we explore what grief looks like ...and how it's not always about death. Lara made me promise this episode wouldn't be as heavy as the first time she was on and I think we delivered with a few laughs and teachable moments.

Friends do not forget to follow my dear friend at LaraCapuano.com and become an "ATATT Groupie" on Instagram. Tom, Lara's husband, will be thrilled...or maybe he won't know...or care. But it will still be fun. :) I encourage you to share this episode with a friend. We can always find new ways to love our people well and I hope this episode inspires you to reach out and give a grieving friend the grace of sitting in their sadness and feeling safe with you.

    Heather Meadows - A Blessed Journey (Pt 2) Feb 14, 2018
    Show notes

An eating disorder was a coping mechanism for Heather's survivor's guilt of her brother's death on that day they both suffered a crash head on with a truck. She also shares with us the incredible story of how God has been preparing Heather her entire life to become a nurse.

One of my favorite lessons I learned from Heather is to NEVER neglect the time of preparation that God has for us. He has purposed great things in our life and it's looking back through everything we've endured (good and bad) that have equipped us to the place we are meant to be in this very moment.

    Heather Meadows - A Blessed Journey (Pt 1) Feb 09, 2018
    Show notes

A deadly accident that took her brother John's life and burned over 87% of her body. Heather teaches us that no circumstance is too bleak and no diagnosis is too despairing for God's hand to be at work.

Andrea Dornbusch - Love Well Jan 31, 2018
    Show notes

Holy Crackerjacks! ....This was such a fun episode!

Andrea shattered my misconception of her home state of California in such a fun way. We also talked about how to affect change in our community, which starts with loving others well.

And Andrea shared with us how turning 30 threw her into a depression, or her darkness, as she calls it.

The story she shares where God met her during her dark time was equally hilarious and inspiring.

So grab a spoon and get ready to dig in a stranger's backyard (hint of the story to come!) and let's get chatting with Andrea Dornbusch!

Kellie Penn - Across the Miles Jan 24, 2018
    Show notes

She lost her mother to breast cancer. But that grief became full and raw when she recounts one of the worst times in her life; the heartbreaking ache of losing her son. Through it all, it's her faith that's endured. I'm so very thankful Kellie took the time to share the story of her son and how his life has impacted this world and the kingdom. __ If you enjoyed the show, let me know! Meghan Joy Yancy - The Joy of Saying NO Dec 13, 2017
    Show notes

Meghan Joy Yancey uses her platform on social media to show you the most fun things in life. Meghan shares all sorts of great finds like: modern clothes and fun family games, yummy snacks and nutritious foods, and of course essential oils.

She's using her platform not only to have fun and share her life but to reach the world with the love of Jesus by making sure she spreads a little joy each day.

In our time together, we talk about what it means to create margin and space in our lives by saying NO - even to the good things.

So It's that time of year. Christmas time! And we talk about the jolly guy in the big red suit. Friends, if you've got some strong opinions on the Kris Kringle make sure you're listening where little ears aren't able to catch the conversation. We travel to a topic that can get a little tricky this time of year…maybe even controversial… guys, we talk about Santa. And seriously, if you've got kids, you may not want to let them listen in because Megan and I discuss how we handle the existence of him in our homes.

Guys, it means so much to me that you tune in every week. If you're hearing my voice, then you're showing support. But I need your help. In these early stages, subscribers and followers are everythign. Please make sure to share the podcast with a friend, and tell them to subscribe, like, and share. Best friends since 1st grade, Nena Jackson and Kristi Smith. They've written a book together called Fruit that Lasts. It's an adorable children's book that connects kids with the importance of the Holy Spirit. While I want you to grab this book for all the kiddos in your life, I also want you to know these ladies better. Kristi and Nena share some heartfelt stores before their wonderful book series came to fruition as well and how the book itself was divinely inspired. Friends, I hope you'll check out the book series Fruit that Lasts. The Holy Spirit can be active in every person's life if we just invite Him in. Give your kids the gift of understanding the importance of the holy spirit by purchasing this book. I firmly believe this story by Kristi and Nena can inspire anyone big or small to dive deeper into their relationship with God.
