A little bit of things, a fair amount of words, and a whole lot of stuff!
This week's episode of Constantly Calibrating is built upon the back of stories from the world of gaming and geekdom. We sail through the realm of The Geekie Awards, stopping off in ports of Grand Theft Auto Online, Fable Legends, Brad also takes us on a journey through the Hearthstone beta, and many thoughts on assorted controversies in the world of gaming. This episode takes on a more serious tone than other episode, as we delve deep into our thoughts on why people get off on threatening others online; something that in no way benefits the perpetrator.
This week some things were discussed. Some rambling also took place.
What? You're looking for specifics? Well, if you must know, we discussed the recent Doctor Who 50th Anniversary trailer (which can be found on GNNAZ.com), some more Everquest Next, Kinect and Xbox One potential woes, GameStop's interesting "deals", and my furry feline predicament. We're back!
After a week off, wandering the wilds of the Internet, we have returned to discuss the two major pieces of news for this week: the unveiling of the Twelfth Doctor & Sony Online Entertainment's new MMO, Everquest Next. We of course go on tangents leading in random directions, because that is who we are as podcasting people, but the topics list was quite small for this week; yet quite large when you consider the topics at hand.
Listen to us, and friend of the podcast Dylan Smoak discuss these topics in as much depth as we're capable of. Spoiler Alert: We didn't even cover half of the topics available for Everquest Next & Landmark, so expect more discussions of it in the future.
ConCal is brand new this week; being recorded from a brand new location. New locations of course entail plenty of rants, rambles, and tangents on topics relating to everything from interior design to new house woes to how to properly keep your bees. This of course is not a home improvement show, so don't expect too much of that. What we do have is plenty of discussions about actively played games and events from this past weekend's San Diego Comic-Con.
Superman, Batman, The Avengers, and plenty more are on the docket this week, so stick around and listen!

On this week's episode Brad and I discussed our thought's on Deadpool's first starring role in a video game, before transitioning along a journey leading through Grand Theft Auto V, the Steam Summer Sale, WoW getting a cash shop, and our thoughts on why Internet cafes never caught on in the US.
The time has come, one month later for us to finally do our long hyped The Last of Us spoilercast. Now to explain a spoilercast, for anyone that missed the BioShock Infinite one from a few months back, essentially we talk about the game and don't pull any punches. (Let's be fair, you know what a spoilercast is.)
What were our thoughts on the gameplay of The Last of Us? Did the mechanics make sense with the story? How about that ending? Which characters were the most impactful?

It is a time for discussions and pondering as we reach episode 55 of ConCal.
This week is not the previously announced The Last of Us spoilercast, as that had to be delayed by a week. Fear not! Brad and I spent this episode discussing many things, both enlightening and illuminating. Join us as we take a look into the departure of Don Mattrick from Xbox, the addition of balloons to the haphazardly released SimCity, and a new race venturing into the companion slot in Star Wars; The Old Republic.
If this is not enough to peak your interests, then I also offer you two tales of meeting people I wanted to be as a child. There may also be some ramble, as is expected when one is on Constantly Calibrating.
Episode 54 of Constantly Calibrating takes us on a tour of what it means to be a turtle, a ninja turtle in fact. We take some odd detours through a land of ponies, before strolling our way out of a series of zombie nightmares as well. Sounds like a lovely day in podcasting, right?

Phoenix Comicon has come and gone, and with its end we're left with many questions:
Who are we? What do we want? Where are we going?
Well, those questions may actually stem from the Babylon 5 20th Anniversary Reunion Panel, which was one of the highlights of my weekend, and perhaps my life to date.
We were actually left with questions of how did this weekend turn into such a complete clusterfrell for most of us? Why did nothing seem to go right at any point? What are we going to do about this?
Phoenix Comicon was not a terrible experience by any means, but the event was less than lackluster at the best of times. Panels were a confusing array of "what's actually happening right now?" and "will this guest actually be in attendance?"
