179: Explore Trance Energy, Shamanism and The Shadow Light Ministry Aug 03, 2015
    Show notes

Today's guest is Cynthia LoRe. Cynthia brings a rich tapestry of personal and professional experience to her Ashland Oregon based healing arts practice. For 18-years she has been empowering clients in both private and Skype sessions here and in the countries of her travels.

Cynthia has trained in different modalities and practices that support her innate wisdom. People are drawn to her independent spirit and grace, find value in her positive perspective and a context for themselves in her ability to be real, vulnerable and playful in her sovereignty. She has a gift for distilling wisdom into the practical for immediate, every day use. She is a natural healer and guide.

In 1993 Cynthia began studying shamanism and has traveled the world to sit with teachers of the Amazon Jungle, honoring an ancient tradition of deep exploration and interconnectedness with all life. For the past two years she has been sitting in sacred sisterhood with the 13 Moon Mystery School, remembering and deepening in ancient priestess practices. Both of these paths continually unfold her awakening, which informs how she guides clients to realize their true essence.

Through Cynthia's Trance Energy Therapy sessions, mentorship and classes, clients experience a deeper sense of self: trust, love, expression, clear boundaries and direction. Trance Energy Therapy is an alchemy of Hypnotherapy, shamanic/priestess wisdom and channeled Reiki energy.

Shadow light Ministry was born from Cynthia's deeply personal quest for healing and self mastery through the exploration of consciousness which must honor the shadow aspect of the psyche. This aspect is a gem not to be feared or denied, as it is calling to be illuminated and witnessed with loving compassion. It is the part of us that holds the key to our greatest potential.

178: From Cyber-Bullying to Lost Context, Michael Neeley & Holli Kenley Explore How We Are Losing the Art of Connecting Aug 02, 2015
    Show notes

In this topical content episode, Michael is joined by Holli Kenley (Season 1, Episode 138) as they take on a deep dive into our increasingly disconnected lives.

As a society, the more ways we have to connect electronically it seems the less and less we actually connect face-to-face, thereby losing some aspect of our abilities to interact in the "real" world.

Michael and Holly will cover the following issues:

    • Cyber-bullying (why it crops up so readily)
    • Lost context (or the "cons" of "text"ing) and what to do about it
    • Helping our children to balance their virtual and physical community
    • Why empathy may be getting lost online
    • ...and more!

Here is the poem that Holli wrote and shares in this episode:

    Face to Face: Unwired

It was last summer, but I remember as if it were yesterday, The image forever etched upon my soul. A family gathered together sharing barbeque with close friends, No technology to fill the space - only conversation and eager ears.

With plates of lean steak, bowls of salads, and baskets of breads passed among us, The young adults home from college filled their bellies and we ours. Dad bantered with his grown children and laughter sprinkled over the table, No technology to distract attention - eyes on the speaker and minds present.

The flow of food and drink continued for hours and yet it flew by, Family stories told from years past and we too told our own. Mom's nurturing spirit brought warmth to more delicate conversation, No technology to interrupt the flow of empathy - each person available for the other.

Stomach beckoned for a pause, but soon deserts galore arrived, And a calm settled in as the sun started to disappear. Plans, dreams, and hopes were explored - each one creating a sparkle, No technology to dim the glow - similar visions captured and shared by all.

Darkness came too quickly as final words embraced the night, With winks and spars, young adults took their cues to clear and to clean. Older adults were left to say their thanks, goodbyes, and next-times, No technology still - only eyes on eyes and arms reaching for hugs.

Walking to our car, I felt full for the first time in a long time, Realizing that what I devoured was so rare, so missed, so needed. No social pathogens - just hungry hearts feasting on a buffet of connection, And savoring each and every morsel of being - of simply being present for one another.

175: Tools (no rules) for Transformation With Purpose Featuring Shannon Algeo Jul 30, 2015
    Show notes

Today's guest is Shannon Algeo. Shannon's goal is to bring light and connection to the world through transformative tools and powerful conversations that honor our humanity, empower us on our journey, and challenge us to show up in the world as leaders who take 100% self-responsibility for our lives.

Shannon's approach as a life coach is based on his own spiritual journey from heartbreak, job loss, scarcity, and fear to self-compassion, career empowerment, wholeheartedness, and love. He believes that we learn what our purpose is by first learning what our purpose isn't.

From dancing and singing on stage, to living in a tent while cooking on an organic farm, to being a passionate fundraiser for AIDS research and the Obama campaign to his catering days at swanky NYC parties, and being the PR/social media guy and book editor for an author, Shannon is living proof that there are no rules when it comes to how to live YOUR life. We learn what our purpose is by taking action and learning valuable information from the actions we take.

Shannon also believes that our soul is the voice of spirit inside each of us that wants us to evolve and transform into unconditional love. He is here to hold sacred space for transformative soul conversations that clarify and connect you to your purpose and generate commitment to powerful, measurable actions in the real world that align with your purpose.

You can find out more about Shannon at www.ShannonAlgeo.com. And here is the link to his retreat info: Mexico.
