California, and now feels wealthy with five pure hearted and happy children. Sam recently retired from his professional career at Switch to enjoy his family and pursue writing, composition, land development, and other artistic and business pursuits.
Lynda Cherry, the author of “The Redemption of the Bride: God’s Redeeming Love for His Covenant People,” has been a devoted student of the doctrines of Christ for more than 40 years, a scholar of the Old Testament, and of all things related to covenant. She has made a life-time study of Israelite culture and symbolism, and has just completed a book about the ancient feast days and their symbolic significance, both ancient and modern: “The Feasts and Festivals of the Messiah.”
Lynda has taught BYU Continuing Education, Institute, Seminary and Adult Education classes, as well as Gospel Doctrine for more than 30 years. She has been a guest lecturer at BYU Education Week, B’Nai Shalom, and many firesides. She has led tour groups to the Holy Lands of Egypt, Jordan and Israel.
As a convert of more than forty years, Lynda brings with her a rich heritage and understanding. With her background of evangelistic Christianity, combined with her love of the Jewish people, and her desire to bring all into the family of covenant Israel, Lynda brings a unique perspective to her work, seeking to build bridges of connection, unity and understanding between the different faith groups, as well as demonstrate the fulfillment of covenant promises through the Restoration.
Members of the church believe in the Bible and the Book of Mormon. The book of Mormon is another testament to Jesus Christ and chronicles the history of Jesus visiting the Natives in North America in ancient times. The book of Mormon was translated with priesthood power by Joseph Smith Jr. who was martyred as the prophet of the Church in 1844. The Church has grown to 16.6 million members worldwide, who love Jesus Christ and his restored gospel.
