Purple Potion Mar 13, 2019

Show notes

This month marks the 5th anniversary of Frankie Knuckles’ passing (known as The Godfather of House Music). If he hadn’t moved to Chicago and influenced a whole genre of music, I’m not quite sure what music I’d dance to now. Stratosphere Feb 13, 2019

Show notes

Last weekend, I saw a piece of artwork made by Oliver Jeffers on the High Line in Manhattan. It was a giant globe, but where countries names would be, each one said “People Live Here”. When an astronaut goes into outer space, they don’t see the world with borders and countries. They see it as one big planet that we all share. The name of my mix, Stratosphere, was inspired by this experience.
