    In what is supposed to be a defining day in the 2020 presidential campaign, we are left with an uncertain mess. The candidates, now in New Hampshire ahead of next week's primary, not knowing if they're winners or losers due to technical issues with the count. Iowa's Democratic party, holding a conference call with the campaigns this hour, says delayed caucus results should come later today. In the meantime, frustration, anger and plenty of spin from the candidates. And President Trump, hoping to look past impeachment and ahead to the 2020 election in tonight's State of the Union speech.     The Trump legal team files its defense brief with the senate, arguing the president did nothing wrong - and that the Democrats' case does not meet the constitutional test for impeachment and removal. Democrats vow to fight that plan, but need a handful of Republicans to break with their president and party to succeed.     Breaking news our hour as multiple U.S. officials tell CNN the U.S. increasingly believes that Iran mistakenly shot down a Ukrainian Airlines flight shortly after it took off from Tehran. That plane crash killed 176 people. The House votes today on a resolution warning President Trump he must consult Congress before any new military action against Iran. And there are rumblings from enough Senate Republicans to keep an eye on that side of the Capitol, too. Plus fresh impeachment tensions: Nancy Pelosi faces new pressure -- including from some Democrats -- to send over the House impeachment articles.
