On a Friday morning in July of 2014, Dan Markel dropped his sons at daycare, went to the gym, and pulled into his garage in Tallahassee. A neighbor heard two shots and called 911 within two minutes. Because Dan Markel was a law professor in the middle of a custody fight. One his ex-wife's family very much wanted to end. Marlene Warren: Death by Clown Killer Oct 14, 2026

On a Saturday morning in May of 1990, Marlene Warren's doorbell rang in Wellington, Florida. On the step was a clown with face paint, an orange wig, a red nose, holding two balloons and a bouquet of flowers. Marlene took them, then the clown raised a gun. Because the costume wasn't a party favor, it was a disguise, and it worked for twenty-seven years. This episode Kaelyn and Sabrina follow the clues: a white Chrysler LeBaron, a used-car dealer husband with an alibi and the employee who repossessed cars for him, and who would eventually become his wife. By the end, the thing that finally moved the case had been sitting in an evidence box since 1991.

She left her purse in a friend's car and walked out just after three in the morning with a man she'd met that night. No one reported her missing for eight days. No one found her for almost three years. Because the man police say she left with had spent twelve years as a West Virginia police officer under another name. This episode Sabrina and Kaelyn follow the clues: a purse no one ever came back for. A car an entire county was asked to search for. And remains that took genetic testing to name. By the end, there's an indictment, a not-guilty plea, and no trial date.

The Trial of the Summer: The Case Against Lindsay Clancy Sep 30, 2026

On a January night in 2023, Patrick Clancy left his house in Duxbury, Massachusetts to pick up takeout and a medication. What he came home to would put his wife at the center of the most watched trial this summer. Because Lindsay Clancy was a labor and delivery nurse who'd spent years guiding other mothers through the hardest hours of their lives, and who knew the warning signs better than almost anyone. This episode Sabrina and Kaelyn follow the clues: a psychiatric record of escalating prescriptions and a patient who kept asking for changes. A husband who testified for the prosecution and asked for mercy anyway. And a jury sent out to choose between murder and manslaughter. By the end, the jury still couldn't agree on any of it.

In October 1999, retired Austin TV executive Steven Beard woke in his home to a shotgun wound in his stomach. When police traced the bullet, it led somewhere nobody expected: a local bookstore manager with no connection to Steven at all, but a very close one to his wife, Celeste. Morgan and Kaelyn follow the clues in one of Texas's most jaw-dropping murder cases: a bond forged in a psychiatric treatment facility, a $12 million fortune bled dry by compulsive spending, and twin daughters who took the stand against their own mother. By the end, one woman would confess to pulling the trigger, and the other would be convicted of putting the gun in her hand.

Just before 2 a.m. on May 14, 2008, 19-year-old Brandon Swanson called his parents from a gravel road in southwestern Minnesota. His car was stuck in a ditch and he needed a ride. His parents drove out to find him but they were actually 25 miles apart. Forty-seven minutes into the call with his father, Brandon said two words and the line went silent. Brandon was never found.
