Brad Williams sits down for a hilarious, unfiltered conversation that blends sharp comedy with real-life perspective. Shannon opens by highlighting Brad’s rise as one of comedy’s most original voices—selling out theaters worldwide, building one of the most-watched stand-up specials on YouTube, and earning a reputation as a fearless storyteller who turns his personal life into nonstop laughs.
Brad jumps right in with stories about everyday life, from being mistaken for a kid despite being a husband and father, to dropping his daughter off at school and watching other kids try to make sense of it. That same humor carries into his latest special, Live on Short Street, where he explains his rapid-fire style.
Shifting into viral moments and celebrity run-ins, including Brad clearing up a mistaken identity tied to a photo with Diddy and Meek Mill. He also jokes about constantly being compared to Wee Man, breaking down the reality of recognition and how it’s changed as his own career has grown.
Midway through, Brad gives his candid take on the controversy involving Peter Dinklage and the live-action Snow White, offering a perspective rooted in real experience. He explains how decisions meant to address representation can sometimes have unintended consequences, especially for actors whose opportunities are already limited, turning a headline topic into a deeper conversation about Hollywood and access.
Brad also shares one of the episode’s standout stories—his unexpected encounter with Mike Tyson at the Hollywood Improv. What starts as a surreal moment quickly turns into a memorable experience, highlighting both the unpredictability of his career and the wild situations he’s found himself in along the way.
Brad Williams reflects on growing up with dwarfism and how his father helped shape his mindset. Instead of shielding him, his dad prepared him—teaching him how to respond to jokes, build confidence, and hold his own in any situation. Those early lessons eventually became the foundation for his stand-up, where quick thinking and sharp comebacks are part of his identity.
They also dive into sports and culture, with Brad talking about his love for the Denver Broncos and even bringing up a wild football idea inspired by Mike Leach—which leads to a funny exchange involving Roger Goodell.
Brad Williams gives a real look at his journey, his perspective, and the experiences that shaped him. It’s a conversation full of laughs, standout stories, and genuine insight into what it takes to turn life’s challenges into something unforgettable.
