Shannon Sharpe sits down with Bobby Lee and Andrew Santino, the hosts of the wildly popular Bad Friends podcast, for a hilarious and surprisingly candid conversation about comedy, friendship, addiction, Hollywood, family, and building one of the biggest podcasts in the world. The duo shares how their friendship developed, why their chemistry works so well on and off camera, touring together, and what it's been like balancing stand-up comedy with podcasting as their audience continues to grow.
Bobby Lee reflects on growing up in a strict Korean household, his complicated relationship with his parents, discovering stand-up comedy, and the experiences that shaped his career. He revisits his breakout years on MADtv, discusses the highs and lows of Hollywood, auditioning for major roles, career regrets, and how the entertainment industry has evolved. Andrew Santino also shares stories about his own path through stand-up, acting, and podcasting, while the two compare their different approaches to comedy and success.
The conversation turns to addiction, sobriety, relapse, and mental health as Bobby opens up about his recovery journey, learning accountability, and the people who helped him through some of the most difficult moments of his life. Shannon, Bobby, and Andrew discuss therapy, personal growth, finding purpose outside of work, and why vulnerability has become an important part of both comedy and life.
Later, the trio dives into life behind the Bad Friends podcast, sharing stories about Joe Rogan, Theo Von, Bert Kreischer, Tom Segura, and some of the biggest names in comedy. They swap hilarious behind-the-scenes stories about touring, celebrity encounters, dating, relationships, podcast culture, and navigating fame while staying authentic. Bobby and Andrew also reflect on what keeps them motivated after decades in entertainment and why making people laugh continues to be the driving force behind everything they do.
