August Camp Wrap Up - Clemson Sets its Sights on 2019 Aug 19, 2019
    Show notes

As August camp wraps up and the Tigers turn their attention towards the 2019 opener next Thursday against Georgia Tech the script has been flipped from last year as Brent Venables' defense carries the most question marks heading into the season as Clemson looks to defend its 2018 National Championship. In this ep we attempt to fill in the blanks on defense while acknowledging that this unit has a long way to go to match the success of 2015-18 squads and caution that things may not be easy in the early going (2:08). But the Tigers will also field what may be the most potent offense in college football, led by QB Trevor Lawrence who, as dominating as he was in 2018, still has room to improve on his freshman campaign (23:24). He will be accompanied by what looks to be the most talented WR group the Tigers have ever fielded and one that, in our opinion, may included 3 of the top 5 WRs in the history of Clemson football when all is said and done (34:03). We conclude by discussing the historically weak schedule this talented group will face and why Clemson fans shouldn't pay mind to the haters out there trying to delegitimize the team's success (46:02). I mean, it's not like they were exactly squeaking by at the end last year...Enjoy and Go Tigers!!!

August Camp Check In: The Defending Champs Turn the Page to 2019 Aug 13, 2019
    Show notes

August camp is in full swing in Tiger Town as the defending champs hit the field in preparation for the 2019 season. In this ep we check in on the progress of a talented but unproven defense that comes in with something to prove (7:30) and gush unapologetically over what may very well be the most dominant offense Clemson has ever seen (28:50). Both sides of the ball will showcase dynamic freshmen who are making a name for themselves in camp and who could stand to have a significant impact for this year's squad. We wrap with some Tigers in the NFL discussion as we try to keep track of all the recent pro's that Dabo's machine has pumped out (54:15). It's quite a time to be a Tiger fan, that's for sure. Enjoy and Go Tigers!!!

2019 Clemson Football: From Best Ever to Next Chapter Jul 29, 2019
    Show notes

Fall camp is on the horizon for the 2019 Clemson football team as the defending champions set their sights on back to back titles for the first time in school history. The Tigers exceeded expectations two years ago after the departure of Deshaun Watson as the 2017 team made it back to the college football playoffs, only to be eliminated in the semifinal by eventual national champions Alabama in an unsuccessful bid to repeat. But this years team is following a different story line as it returns QB Trevor Lawrence who, along with RB Travis Etienne, has put the Heisman on the minds of folks in Tigertown. And while the loss of the Power Rangers and turnover at linebacker leaves question marks for a Clemson defense that has a lot to prove, talent abounds and we’ve seen this story play out before. If you’re a Clemson fan you know what greatness looks like by now and don’t be surprised if you see it in the 2019 squad. Summer’s almost over…spot the damn ball!!! Enjoy and Go Tigers!!!

2019 Clemson Baseball Season Review Jun 10, 2019
    Show notes

Monte Lee’s 4th season as the Clemson Baseball coach was a disappointment in the eyes of Tiger fans as the team failed to reach 40 wins for the first time in his tenure and once again made an early exit in a Regional. In this ep we recap the Tigers’ brief ACC Tournament appearance and disappointing postseason (2:36) as Clemson's Super Regional drought extends to 9 years. We then look back on what ailed the team this season (16:53), reflect on the bright spots (27:42), discuss where the program goes from here (36:31) and hand out season awards (47:02). The silver lining…it’s almost football season…Enjoy and Go Tigers!

Clemson Once Again Raids Cali May 04, 2019
    Show notes

The Tigers have had their way with Cali lately. Last year we took their best wide receiver. In January we claimed a trophy. Sunday we may steal a quarterback. And after the NFL Draft the Tigers will once again invade the Bay Area, and like last time they’re sending their best. 3/4 of the Clemson Tiger defensive line got drafted in the 1st round, then was made whole in the 4th. 6 Tigers got drafted over the weekend with several others earning a chance to make a team. The Clemson brand is stronger than ever. In this ep we discuss the Tigers’ showing in the NFL Draft which, though expected to be a bit stronger, is further proof of Clemson earning it’s place as one of College Football’s elites (2:15). We also check in on the baseball team who are suffering through their worst stretch of play in the Monte Lee era and give our thoughts on whether or not they can turn around the season (17:44). We wrap with some basketball thoughts on the Steve Smith situation and a recent transfer (48:24). Enjoy and Go Tigers!!!

2019 Clemson Football Spring Wrap Up Apr 18, 2019
    Show notes

Just a few months removed from blowing out Alabama to claim their 3rd National Championship, the Clemson Tigers exit Spring practice with their sights set on returning to the College Football Playoff for a fifth year in a row. Significant attrition on the defensive side of the ball leaves some legitimate question marks for this 2019 squad, but returning QB Trevor Lawrence along with what could be the most explosive offense in the country, combined with a wave of young talent, have expectations set high. In this ep we discuss the storylines coming out of Spring practice and the Spring Game, offer up takes on the incoming freshman and make our way-to-early predictions for the upcoming season. Enjoy and Go Tigers!!!

    2018-19 Men's Basketball Season Recap Apr 02, 2019
    Show notes

First off, Head Coach Amanda Butler and the Clemson Women’s Basketball Team made the NCAA Tournament for the first time in 17 years, advancing to the 2nd round. That is by far the best storyline from Clemson Basketball this year. Congratulations to the Lady Tigers! The men, on the other hand, didn’t fare so well. A disappointing end to a disappointing season for a Clemson Men’s Basketball Team that had high hopes coming into this year, having come off a Sweet 16 run the previous year and returning 3 veteran, impact starters. In this ep we recap the stumble against NC State in the ACC tournament that officially sealed their fate as well as their brief run in the NIT (4:05). We then recap the season and hand out awards (19:40) before turning our focus to next year and Brad Brownell’s fate (39:19). We wrap the ep with a check in on a rapidly improving young baseball team that may not be heading to Omaha, but it’s going the right direction (58:00). Enjoy and Go Tigers!!!
