    Midyear 2026 Collector Truck & 4x4 Market Update Jul 20, 2026
    Show notes

The second quarter of 2026 continued to build momentum with the top end of the collector vehicle market driving the results. In this episode, Chris is joined by Brian Ellis, Co-Founder and CEO of Fourbie Exchange. Together, they discuss recent market performance and share their outlook on the broader collector vehicle, truck, and 4x4 markets, including marketplace dynamics and which vehicles are emerging as winners, losers, and present buying opportunities.
The collector vehicle market remained strong in the first half of 2026, led by the truck and 4x4 segment. The top end of the market is appreciating, while the bottom end continues to soften. Six figure collector trucks and 4x4s are changing hands quicker and for greater values, while the below $50,000 market is taking longer to sell through at softening values. Our outlook remains cautiously optimistic as the macroeconomic environment evolves, with global unrest driving inflation.
Overall, the market continues to favor sellers, though strategic opportunities still exist for buyers. Ongoing generational shifts are fueling demand and supporting values for trucks and 4x4s—further solidifying this segment as the emerging “blue-chip” category within the collector vehicle market.
