And while it’s mostly Black babies who are dying in the District, it’s an issue that says a lot about how resources and care are allotted in the city.     D.C. Speeding Is Out Of Control. Could This Law Fix It? Feb 05, 2024

    D.C. is on the verge of passing a new traffic law that's supposed to actually stop people from speeding in the city. It means your car could be booted even if your tickets are all paid, but proponents say that’s a necessary price to pay after a year with 52 traffic fatalities.
