    Episode 117 | Jason Brown | Camp Hideout Sep 13, 2023
    Show notes

On today's episode, we chat with Producer, Jason brown! His latest movie, Camp Hideout, releases nationwide, this Friday, the 15th! When mischievous Noah (Ethan Drew) gets himself into trouble with 2 “bad guys” by accidentally stealing their property, he escapes to a summer camp. Little does he know this camp is run by the notorious Falco (Christopher Lloyd) and his dog Lazarus who both despise technology and have a short temper when it comes to children. Thankfully there are kind and optimistic camp leaders like Jake (Corbin Bleu) to help guide him and cheer him up. Although Noah is extremely pessimistic upon arrival, he begins to soften and create bonds with some of the other kids at camp. He learns some valuable lessons in integrity, faith, and friendship which is helpful when the bad guys show up looking for him and their missing item. The camp kids band together in a Home Alone style funhouse in the woods with boobie traps ranging from slick decks with zip lines at the lake to huts filled with bees. In the end, Falco steps up to help the kids and they all learn a valuable lesson in sticking together.

Starring Corbin Bleu (High School Musical), Amanda Leighton (This is Us), Ethan Drew (Camp Hideout), and Christopher Lloyd (Back to the Future), Camp Hideout is directed by Sean Olson, written by Kat Olson, C. Neil Davenport, and Dave DeBorde, and produced by PZAJ’s Phillip Glasser and Called Higher Studio’s Jason Brown.

Episode 116 | Max Lucado tells us God Never Gives Up On You! Sep 06, 2023
    Show notes

On today's episode, we chat with 2 time guest, Pastor Max Lucado! Max Lucado is a pastor, speaker, and best-selling author who, in his own words, “writes books for people who don’t read books.” He serves the people of Oak Hills Church in San Antonio, Texas, and his message is for the hurting, the guilty, the lonely, and the discouraged: God loves you; let him.

As a writer, Max is known for combining poetic storytelling and homespun humor with the heart of a pastor. All of his trade books began as sermon series at Oak Hills Church, and his sermons all begin with Max asking himself this question: “What can I say on Sunday that will still matter on Monday?” He’s been dubbed “America’s Pastor” by Christianity Today, and “The Best Preacher in America” by Reader’s Digest.

Max’s books have sold more than 145 million copies in over 50 languages worldwide. He published On the Anvil, his first trade book, in 1985. His 44th trade book, Help Is Here, was released in 2022. Max’s books regularly appear on bestseller lists, including The New York Times. His writing has also been featured in Bible studies, Bible commentaries, songs, greeting cards, and even plush toys. He is the recipient of the 2021 ECPA Pinnacle Award for his outstanding contribution to the publishing industry.

God Never Gives Up on Youis a book for the members of the Lost Halo Society. For the strugglers among us and the fumbler within us. For those of us who are part saint, part scoundrel. We mean well, but we don’t always do well. We have breakthroughs and breakdowns, often in the same hour. We need no reminder of our failures, but we could always use a refresher course on God’s perfect plan to use imperfect people to do great things.

Jacob’s story invites us to believe in a God who sticks beside the unworthy and underachievers and leads us safely home. If God can use Jacob to further his kingdom, he can use us too.

    Episode 109 | Big Announcement Episode!! Jul 19, 2023
    Show notes

On today's edition of the Christian Music Guys, we talk about our big announcement! We will be at Ichthus Festival 2023! Beginning in 1970, following the historic Asbury Revivals, Ichthus became known as one of the nation’s longest-running Christian music events. Taking its name from ichthys, the fish symbol used by early Christians, Ichthus carried out a mission to be an alternative to secular events like Woodstock and was designed to reach high school and college students.

In 2013 the Ichthus grounds in Wilmore Ky. were purchased by Joe and Cheryl Lycan, who renamed the property “Servant Heart Farm”. The couple is dedicated to bringing the Ichthus experience back home to the farm.

With new ownership and a new vision for ministry, through a partnership with a small group of volunteers and local contributors, Ichthus was relaunched in 2021.

We can’t wait for you to join us in 2023 at Servant Heart Farm (the “Ichthus Farm”) as we Take it Back to the Cross.
