SURPRISE !!! In honor of it being one year of CWCOI, we decided to dedicate an episode to celebrate our first birthday !!! We are truly so grateful for this last year and for all of your support - all glory be to God for all that this podcast has become. In this bonus episode, our host, Ally Yost is joined by special guests and friends, Ashley Hetherington and Carew Ellington. They revisit their friendship journey and how the Lord's timing is so perfect and intentional.

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth." 1 Corinthians 13:4-6

vengeance is the Lord's Sep 13, 2024

Show notes

Hey y'all ! Welcome to another Friday with CWCOI ! In this week's episode our host, Ally Yost, reads the Word of God in the book of Proverbs. We started to read Proverbs in episode two of season four, "We Have The Key To Life" and we are continuing to read through it starting in Proverbs 25. As followers of Jesus, we are called to treat everyone with unconventional compassion and love and the Lord blesses us when we do so.

"If your enemies are hungry, give them food to eat. If they are thirsty, give them water to drink. You will heap burning coals of shame on their heads, and the Lord will reward you." Proverbs 25:21-23

my friends and family dont know Jesus Sep 06, 2024

Show notes

Hey y'all ! Welcome to another Friday with CWCOI ! In this week's episode our host, Ally Yost, talks about the power of our faith and prayer. Whether we have a close friend or even a family member who might not know Jesus, there is still hope and love. We have direct access to our Heavenly Father - we just have to communicate to Him in prayer and believe that He will deliver.

"Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours." Mark 11:24

gifts of the spirit Aug 30, 2024

Show notes

Hey y'all ! Welcome to another Friday with CWCOI ! In this week's episode our host, Ally Yost, begins by leading us in communion together. Communion is a beautiful way for us to "slow down" and just be with Jesus - He is worthy of all of our honor and praise. We then read through 1 Corinthians as we talk about gifts of the Spirit, what they are, and how they operate through us.

"A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other." 1 Corinthians 12:7

lust, sex, and dating before marriage Aug 16, 2024

Show notes

Hey y'all ! Welcome to another Friday with CWCOI and to the start of season FOUR !!! We are so happy to be back and are excited for all the ways the Lord is going to show up in these upcoming episodes. In this week's episode our host, Ally Yost, talks about the importance of sharing Gospel truths, even when they might be convicting or tough to talk about. In scripture it reads that God bought us with a high price and therefore we are called to honor ourselves and our bodies before Him.

"Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own: you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies." 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
