149 - Reviewing the Mimiq Doubler Pedal from TC Electronics Feb 13, 2017
    Show notes

Normally, Brian doesn't do reviews of other company's guitar pedals. Even more odd is for him to review another company's pedal. However, recently he broke that streak and had some fun with the Mimiq Doubler effect pedal from TC Electronics.

It's a very cool effect if you are running stereo. If you're in a praise and worship band and going direct in, you'd be crazy NOT to have this in your arsenal. It's also highly effective if you run two different amps as well. It's true potential shines when you run it in stereo, so if you use it in mono with just one amp the effect won't be the same.

Brian is using a Rat pedal from Proco and a Torpedo C.A.B. from Two Notes for this demo.

How long should you stay before you start to wear out your welcome?

Should you feel obligated to buy something?

How to deal with jerk employees.

And maybe more important, how not to be a jerk customer.

Blake talks about his recent live video experience. The guys reveal they were skaters back in the day. A loss in the gear world. And Brian talks about the evolution of Wampler Pedal’s media strategy.

    It’s a jam packed episode!
