    Kings of Leon are the first rock band to release their album under the NFT crypto currency. What is a non-fungible token and why could it be a benefit to musicians? The guys look at it.

    Line 6 is releasing a wireless Helix midi controller. The guys have strong opinions on the whole wireless idea.

    You get a new stomp box and plug it in, do you set the tone at “noon” to start out? Is “noon” neutral? There are some interesting thoughts on the subject.

    There is a buzz out there about reviewers receiving compensation for their reviews of gear. The thought it is may cause bias and may have some negative connotations. The trio talk about the issue.

    346 - Mini pedals, The Ratsbane, and is NAMM done? Mar 02, 2021

    Brian and Blake are back and once again joined by Wampler’s own Richard Oliver in this weeks episode.

    MXR has released what may be the first artists signature mini pedal. The Eric Gales Rawdawg overdrive started an interesting conversation about the surge of mini pedals and peoples strong opinions about them.

    Covid 19 is finally showing promising signs of slowing down and things are opening back up. This includes NAMM as the 2021 Summer event is returning as well as next year’s Winter NAMM. But the discussion looks at the idea that NAMM’s usefulness has diminished. Is it time for a retool or does the NAMM show just need to go away?

    Wampler just released the Ratsbane overdrive. It is a pedal based around the classic Rat circuit, but it is not just a Rat clone. It has some depth and the guys talk about the latest addition to the company’s lineup.

    Wampler Pedals is about to launch their brand new take on the classic Rat pedal. The Ratsbane is Brian’s interpretation of the popular dirt circuit with some cool Wampler twists. The guys talk about it.

    Blake just finished an interview with JHS’ own Josh Scott that led to a conversation about digital marketing and how content creation is better used to reach the market.

    Brian is making some adjustments on his beloved Epiphone. He has arrived at the point of adjusting the truss rod and it has him a bit nervous. The discussion is entertaining.

    Universal Audio has released an interesting line of pedals. The company is known for their plug-ins and that leads to a conversation about how those might be applied in a pedal setting.

    Blake has a ghost story about a local theme park he and the family frequent. It even made an episode of Ghost Hunters. You will be surprised at the software the hunters were using.

    NAMM has gone virtual and there are a lot of new releases coming this weekend. Brian, Blake and Richard look at some of the new gear coming from PRS, Gibson, Boss as well as some small companies with some cool gear offerings.

    Our government recently released some classified info on UFO’s. Are they out there? We want to believe.

    The new Macs are coming and have Blake and Richard excited. They talk about the coming upgrades and how they see it impacting the performance of some of the main stream programs.
