Hey Carpool Crew… Happy Monday! I’m Pastor Justin, and I’m so glad you’re here as we keep moving through Advent toward Christmas. Today we’re talking about joy—the kind that stays with you because it comes from Jesus.

John 15:11 (CSB) says, “I have told you these things so that my joy may be in you and your joy may be complete.”

Jesus didn’t say, “Go find joy.” He said, “I’m giving you My joy.” This joy doesn’t disappear on hard Mondays, rough mornings, or stressful school days. It stays because it comes from Jesus.

So today, ask Jesus for His joy. Look for one good thing. Smile. Encourage someone. Let His joy be with you all day.

Remember, no matter where you are or how you’re listening, God loves you.

Kids who feel confident and kids who feel shy. Kids with big friend groups and kids who sit alone sometimes. Families that seem put together and families that feel a little messy. Jesus came for all of us.

When children invite others in—into a game, a seat at lunch, or a conversation—they help show the world what God’s peace really looks like. God’s peace isn’t small or limited. In Matthew 1:21, the angel tells Joseph to name the baby Jesus because “He will save His people from their sins.” The name Jesus literally means “The Lord saves.”

This episode reminds kids and families that hope isn’t just a nice thought or a wish—it’s a person. When we say “Jesus,” we are saying that God saves, God keeps His promises, and God is close. If you ever feel nervous, unsure, or alone, whispering His name reminds you that He’s right there with you. Jesus is the steady, certain hope we can trust every day.

Hey Carpool Crew, we’ve been talking all about hope this week as we journey through Advent toward Christmas! 🎄 I’m Pastor Justin, and today we’re learning about something that’s not easy — waiting.

Our verse is Isaiah 40:3 (CSB): “A voice of one crying out: Prepare the way of the Lord in the wilderness; make a straight highway for our God in the desert.”
God’s people had waited a long time and were tired of wondering if He still had a plan. But through Isaiah, God said, “I haven’t forgotten you — get ready for Me.”

If Jesus were sitting beside you, I think He’d say, “Waiting isn’t a waste of time — it’s heart time.” Waiting teaches us to trust, pray, and grow closer to God. Advent reminds us that waiting isn’t a pause in the story — it’s part of it.
