In today’s podcast, Stasi sits down with pastor and author Melanie Boudreau to talk about the unexpected life. Naturally, we pray and work towards the life that we hope for, but how do we respond when God gives us something other than what we planned for? It's hard to surrender our self-life and step out of our comfort zone, but with our identity deeply rooted in Christ, there is no limit to what he can do with us and through us—even when life is challenging.

Dreaming with God Jan 12, 2022
    Show notes

God dreams big, and he invites us to dream big with him—the desires in our hearts unique to each of us have been planted by him. Dreaming with God allows us to access these places in our hearts where desire dwells and to hear his voice. It awakens hope and possibility and allows us to see ourselves as he sees us. After all, nothing is too big for God, including our deepest desires.

    • Becoming Myself by Stasi Eldredge
    • Happy Birthday to You!By Dr. Seuss: “Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is you-er than you.”

    Scripture:

2 Corinthians 3:18 — And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate[a] the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

Song of Songs 4:1 — You are beautiful, my darling, beautiful beyond words. Your eyes are like doves

(00:15:53) Take some time and allow your thoughts to dream with God. Sit with God and ask him to reveal and awaken your heart's desires. Here are some questions you can ask him to help you explore. It’s ok if it’s difficult to name the desire, but ask God to access to places where these desires are planted:

    • What do you feel makes you particularly you?
    • What do you like?
    • What do you daydream about?
    • If you could do anything, knowing it would go swimmingly well, what would it be?
    • What do you want to be true of yourself?
    • What do you want the impact of your life to be?
    • Ask God, "what do you want for me?"

Christ is Enough Oct 20, 2021

Something is revealed in our story when we feel like we don’t have enough—enough provision, enough safety, enough love. Through verses and stories, Stasi speaks to this question: What does it mean to be satisfied by God and to trust him as our provider for the things that matter most? In Christ, we have enough, and—because Christ dwells in us—we are enough. SHOW NOTES: (Verses) Psalm 131:2 (NIV): But I have calmed and quieted myself, I am like a weaned child with its mother; like a weaned child I am content. Genesis 17:1 (NIV): When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to him and said, “I am God Almighty; walk before me faithfully and be blameless.
