    #138 Closet Homeschooler Dec 08, 2021
    Show notes

What is a closet homeschooler? It's what I was for many years. I was afraid to tell people I homeschooled, so I hid. As I reflect on my past, hiding is something that I do all too often. I hide my fails and I even hide my wins. I become afraid of what people may say about me either way. I am now embarking on a new journey and I am done hiding. I want to share with you as I am on the journey.

    #135 Choosing Your Path Nov 17, 2021
    Show notes

In the book Mere Christianity, CS Lewis tells about how if we get a little worse over time, it won't really really matter in 70 years. But if you believe in eternity, and you continue to get a little worse over time, you will eventually create an absolute hell. Our daily actions determine what path we are currently taking. Do you like the end of your path? Will your path bring you joy or put you in hell? Check out today's podcast episode to see what path you are currently taking.

    134 Build Your Foundation Nov 10, 2021
    Show notes

The word foundation means: the lowest load-bearing part of a building. Sometimes we often feel that we are bearing a heavy load. A heavy load built upon a weak foundation will crush us. In the scriptures, we learn that in order to within stand the storm we need to build on a solid foundation. The foolish man built on sand, and his house washed away. You are going to face storms and heavy burdens, but if you can learn to be like the wise man, you will be able to weather the storm. Check out today's podcast to hear more.

Back in 1839 Joseph Smith was in Liberty Jail facing a lot of difficulty. The conditions were poor and the trial seemed to be more than he could take. He asks God where is He, and why is He not helping him. Everyone has probably had their own Liberty Jail moment when the trial seems so hard and we ask God where is He, and why is He not helping. I want to share with you from the scriptures what God's answer was. How He really is always with us and how our trials shall be for our good.

    #131 Having an Aim Oct 20, 2021
    Show notes

Why do so many people love watching sports? Because they love to see someone have an aim and succeed. We love seeing people run a marathon or lose extra body weight. But every now and then we find people who don't like to see people succeed. They comment negative things and try to hurt the one who has succeeded. This happened to me recently with a picture I posted, and it has made me think of everything about the picture and what those people said. Listen in to this week's episode to hear my thoughts and thoughts of having an aim.

Sometimes you want a recipe of curriculum that will walk you step by step of what to do. I give two suggestions for curriculum that you may like that will help those of you who are wanting more help on what to do in your homeschool.
