    Colleen Quigley

    Colleen Quigley is a 2016 Olympian and 2X World Championship qualifier in the steeplechase and the 3rd fastest Steeplechase in US history. She was 2nd at the USATF Indoor Championships in 2018 and finished 9th in the 2018 World Indoor Championships. She won the NCAA championships while at FSU and was a state champion and Footlocker Cross Country finalist in high school. Colleen gave up a promising modeling career to pursue her goals in track and field and hasn’t looked back. In addition to being a driven athlete, she is an activist for young female runners with a platform called Fast Braid Fridays. She is also a volunteer coach and is quite the cook with a specialty in Granola. She is member of the Nike Bowerman Track Club (aka Bowerman Babes) which is based in Portland, Oregon.

    Melvin Carter

    Melvin Carter is a fourth-generation Saint Paul resident, Saint Paul public school graduate, former Saint Paul City Council member, father, and Saint Paul’s Mayor. Melvin grew up in the Rondo neighborhood as the son of one of Saint Paul’s first black police officers, and a teacher (who now serves as a Ramsey County Commissioner). He attended Saint Paul public schools, ran track at his neighborhood rec center, and graduated from Central High School. He currently lives blocks away from where he grew up with his wife, Dr. Sakeena Futrell-Carter, and the youngest three of their five children. Melvin has been working to engage, enfranchise, and uplift people not only in Saint Paul, but also across the state and nation. Most recently, he served as Executive Director of the Minnesota Children’s Cabinet, advising Governor Mark Dayton on early childhood policy. Prior to joining state government, Melvin represented Ward 1 on the Saint Paul City Council from 2008 to 2013. In the run up to his campaign for Mayor, Melvin spent a year in conversation with neighbors through a series of listening sessions called Imagine Saint Paul. His unconventional campaign focused on grassroots organizing and earning support from every corner of the city.

    Gwen Jorgensen

    Less than two years after Gwen began professionally racing triathlon, she qualified for the 2012 London Olympics. In 2013, Gwen made history as the first American woman to win an ITU WTS race. Gwen was undefeated between May 2014 to April 2016, during which time she earned an unprecedented 12 consecutive wins on the ITU WTS circuit and qualified for her second U.S. Olympic Triathlon Team. In 2016, Gwen became the first American to win an Olympic gold medal in the sport of triathlon during the Rio Summer Games.

    Amelia Boone

    Amelia Boone is a full-time corporate attorney, obstacle racer, and ultrarunner. Dubbed "The Queen of Pain," Amelia is a 4x world champion and one of the most decorated obstacle racers in history. Over her career, she's amassed more than 50 podiums and 30 victories in obstacle racing. Highlights include: 3-time winner of the World's Toughest Mudder (2012, 2014, 2015), Spartan Race World Champion (2013), Spartan Race Points Series Champion (2013 & 2015) and 3-time Death Race Finisher (Winter 2012, Summer 2012, Summer 2013). Amelia is not just a professional athlete – she has risen to the top of the sport while simultaneously working as a full-time corporate attorney at some of the largest law firms and companies in the world. She is the penultimate "weekend warrior," juggling the demands of a dual career. Amelia has been profiled in or featured in major publications such as the Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, Time, Outside Magazine, Sports Illustrated, ESPN, Entrepreneur, Men's Health, Women's Running, Competitor Magazine, Playboy, and the Chicago Tribune, and has appeared on the cover of Runner's World, Chicago Athlete, and Metcon magazine. She has been named a "Rising Star" by Outside Magazine and selected as one of the "50 Fittest Women" by Sports Illustrated. Amelia appears regularly on national television, both as an athlete and as a featured commentator and analyst. She has worked as an analyst on both ESPN and CBS Sports, and her athletic feats and story are featured prominently throughout all three seasons of NBC & NBC Sports show "Spartan Race." When Amelia's not out on an obstacle course, you'll find her nurturing a budding ultra running obsession, working as a full-time attorney, or watching wrestling pay-per-views. Most likely with a box of Pop-Tarts or a bag of ketchup chips in hand.

    Dennis Barker

    Dennis Barker is a coach and writer. He is the author of The River Road, a historical running novel nominated for the 2016 Track & Field Writers of America Book of the Year. He has coached 24 U.S. national champions, including Olympian Carrie Tollefson, and 73 top three finishers. He has also coached NCAA All-Americans at the collegiate level and Minnesota All-State runners at the high school level.
