He holds a Bachelor of Science in International Business Management from BYU–Hawaii and a Master of Business Administration from Hawaii Pacific University. With over 10 years of experience in renewable energy sales, chemical cleaning sales, and petroleum-based fuel sales, Chad has developed expertise across multiple industries.

    Discovering Answers to Your Prayers | Steven Tueller Feb 26, 2026

    Vice President Steven Tueller shares guidance with students in seeking answers to prayers at today's devotional. He highlights the importance of faith, openness to diverse answers, recognizing God's guidance in various forms, considering past experiences, and trusting personal agency, emphasizing the need to patiently and trustingly discover how God answers prayers in His way and time.

    Steven Tueller has nearly 30 years of experience in the Church Education System, starting at BYU in Provo's Physical Facilities Division. He specializes in budgeting, strategic planning, space management, and sales and marketing. Since June 2006, he has served as managing director of budget and Human Resources at BYU–Hawaii. Steven was a missionary in Osaka, Japan, for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He earned his bachelor’s degree in human resource development, a master’s degree in international and area studies, and an MBA, all from BYU in Provo.

    Prophetic Fingerprints | Winter 2025 Commencement | R. Kelly Haws Feb 26, 2026

    Elder R. Kelly Haws currently serves as assistant to the commissioner of Church Education and secretary to the Board of Trustees of the Church Educational System. He has served in this capacity since 2018. Prior to this assignment, he worked for Seminaries and Institutes of Religion beginning in 1984, including 10 years of teaching in Utah, 13 years as area director for the eastern United States and Canada, and 9 years as assistant and associate administrator to the commissioner of Church Education.
    Professionally, Elder Haws holds an associate’s degree from Snow College, a bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University, a master’s degree from Utah State University, and a doctoral degree in education from George Mason University. He married Connie Thornwall in the Salt Lake Temple, and together they are the parents of three children.

She credits much of her success to her diverse upbringing and the unique environments she has experienced throughout her life.

    President Susan H. Porter was sustained as Primary General President for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on April 2, 2022. At the time of her call, she was serving as First Counselor in the Primary General Presidency.
    Professionally, President Porter graduated with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Brigham Young University. She has worked as a lab assistant for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and as a math teacher. She also volunteered in her children’s schools and with various community organizations.

    Plan Your Life with God | Winter 2025 Commencement | President John S.K. Kauwe III Feb 26, 2026

    President John S.K. Kauwe III has served as the president of Brigham Young University–Hawaii since July 2020. He was sustained as an Area Seventy in April 2024. President Kauwe holds degrees from Brigham Young University and Washington University in St. Louis. As a Biology professor at BYU Provo, he previously chaired the Biology Department and was Dean of Graduate Studies. His research focuses on the genetic basis of Alzheimer’s disease and includes over 100 peer-reviewed publications. President Kauwe and his wife, Monica, have five children.

    Nasanbold Sukhbaatar shares how he grew up on the vast, empty grasslands of Mongolia, riding his horse for hours through snow to get to school. When changes in government left him unable to read, he taught himself, practicing by candlelight in the fields with his herd. Through faith, hard work, and prayer, he continued his education and came to BYU–Hawaii He encourages students to "be one," follow Prophetic counsel, and receive blessings through obedience, becoming the noble men and women President McKay prophesied about.

    Nasanbold Sukhbaatar married Otgonchimeg in 2010, and they are the parents of four children. He earned a degree from BYU–Hawaii and is pursuing a master’s degree.

    the Ulaanbaatar East Stake, and as a volunteer in the local government.
