Blitzed Bills: The 12 Rants of Christmas Dec 17, 2019
    Show notes

The folks at Blitzed have brought you an NFL holiday classic: The 12 Rants of Christmas. Ranging in wildly infuriating topics, such as whether or not Josh Allen has to throw for 300 yards to be considered a great quarterback to why it's not critical for the Bills' Super Bowl odds to win in New England on Sunday.

    Other topics include:

    • Eli Manning isn't a Hall of Famer
    • Why Patriots cheating scandals aren't as bad as their stupid bandwagon fans
    • Fantasy Football sucks
    • It's time for Philip Rivers to go
    • "Titan Up" is the dumbest saying for a football team

Each incredible audible rant is accompanied by the chugging of a Bud Light as well. Don't miss this timeless classic.

CTW: Bills are playoff-bound after defeating the Steelers, 17-10 Dec 16, 2019
    Show notes

We recap the Buffalo Bills' win over the Steelers in Pittsburgh to clinch a playoff spot in the AFC and get to 10-4 on the season on Sunday Night Football.. The defense again played lights out and took away the ball from Devlin "Duck" Hodges, including two picks from Tre'Davious White (of Tre White Goalie Academy Fame). Josh Allen did enough in key situations to win the game, despite his receivers having more rough drops this week. We have a Tyler Kroft sighting. We also discuss the scenario where the Bills could sit their players in Week 17.

We announce the winner of the signed Tremaine Edmunds jersey, and, as always, we discuss our general thoughts on the game, stats of the game, plays of the game (Sweet Sassy Molassy!), who goes on our Wall of Fame and who goes on the Wall of Shame (and turn to Twitter for some great reaction from our followers). Next, the 11-3 New England Patriots in Foxborough on Saturday! Go Bills!

Billieve: Bills Going Duck Hunting in Search of Playoff Berth Dec 14, 2019
    Show notes

Host John Boccacino is joined by co-host Jamie D'Amico to break down the Buffalo Bills (9-4) trip to face the Pittsburgh Steelers (8-5) on Sunday Night Football. Among the topics discussed: by now, the rest of the league knows the key to containing Josh Allen is to bring the pressure with a Cover-0 blitz scheme, which features blitzing safeties and more pass rushers than there are blockers. Allen will have another chance to show how well he can handle the pressure vs. T.J. Watt and a top-five Steelers' defense. Our podcasters expect more draws and wheel route passes to rookie Devin Singletary, more slant passes to Cole Beasley, and more deep and in routes to John Brown and Robert Foster. We discuss the health of the offensive line and the massive challenge facing rookie Cody Ford against Watt, who has 12.5 sacks this year for a Steelers defense that leads the league in sacks, QB hits, and takeaways. We also address what Buffalo needs to do to contain undrafted rookie QB Duck Hodges, how the Bills can scheme for RBs James Conner and Jaylen Samuels, what role Tremaine Edmunds will play, and the importance of Ed Oliver and Jerry Hughes getting after Hodges with the pass rush. We also give our score predictions!

Nick & Nolan: Can Allen Handle the Blitz? & Steelers Preview Dec 12, 2019
    Show notes

Nick & Nolan recap the loss to the Ravens and discuss whether we need to be worried about Josh Allen having a bad game. Would the screen game help Josh Allen? Would Yeldon or Duke Williams help if they were active?

Can we do anything to help Dawson Knox with his drops?

How did we slow down Lamar and the Baltimore offense?

Then a Steelers preview and how this should be a similar game to the Denver game a few weeks back, for more reasons than one.

Mafia Mavens: David and Goliath, a "Duck" and a cheater walk into a bar Dec 12, 2019
    Show notes

Are the Bills still a "David" or have they reinvented themselves as Goliath after keeping the game close against the Ravens? Should Buffalo be worried about "Duck" and the Steelers? How should the NFL handle the Patriots and their cheating ways? Robyn and Danyel answer all of these questions and also announce the winner of the Stevie Johnson autographed picture giveaway.

Billieve: What to Make of Buffalo's Loss to the Ravens Dec 11, 2019
    Show notes

Host John Boccacino is joined by co-host Jamie D'Amico to recap the Buffalo Bills 24-17 loss to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 14. Among the topics discussed: the Bills had a chance to make a statement against the league's front-running MVP candidate (Lamar Jackson) and the high-flying Ravens offense. While the defense was phenomenal (outside of one broken coverage play that led to a long touchdown), the offense couldn't keep up; the offensive line struggled mightily in pass blocking against the Ravens; Josh Allen once again underwhelmed in his performance when under pressure, although he wasn't helped by drops from Dawson Knox, Cole Beasley and others; once again, Brian Daboll showed a tendency to dial up the deep ball vs. Baltimore with little success to show for it; Allen was beaten up by a physical Ravens defense; rookie Devin Singletary continued his impressive rookie season, averaging more than five yards per rush; Leslie Frazier's defense did an outstanding job containing Baltimore's offense, limiting the Ravens to 257 yards of total offense; linebackers Tremaine Edmunds and Lorenzo Alexander were all over the field and enjoyed terrific games vs. Baltimore. The bottom line: the Bills need to clean up a few items (the drops and poor pass protection chief among them) but Buffalo fans should feel good knowing the Bills had a chance to steal this game Sunday.

Blitzed Bills: Moral Victories Are For Losers Dec 10, 2019

And should a wildcard team with a better record get to host a playoff game over a divisional winner?

Plus we confess the sins of Jerry Jones, Drew Brees, Mark Davis, and Dolphins and Jets fans.

And lastly, what's the worst sports bet you ever won or lost? We found some real doozies to tell you about.
