Show notes
While many fans of the Buffalo Bills were advocating for drafting a running back this offseason, the Bills seem content to have a backfield spearheaded by Devin Singletary and Zack Moss.
On the latest episode of the Billieve Podcast, hosts John Boccacino and Jamie D'Amico discuss who will emerge as Buffalo's top option out of the backfield: Singletary, Moss or a wildcard like free agent signee Matt Breida.
We dissect the strengths and weaknesses of both Singletary and Moss to see who has the best claim to the No. 1 running back job. We address how both backs were among the NFL's best at accumulating yards after contact, examine how, after his toe injury, Moss outsnapped Singletary over the second half of the season, explore how Moss' between-the-tackles running style is better suited for Buffalo's zone blocking scheme, speculate on how a slimmed-down Singletary could regain his phenomenal form from his rookie season, and more.
We then offer up our thoughts on who is better suited to be Buffalo's bell cow back in 2021.
