Is momentum building toward an October start to the Big Ten's football season? Well, it's already September, so the wheels better get turning faster. But at least they seem to be in motion. On Tuesday, President Trump and Big Ten commissioner Kevin Warren spoke on the phone, and Trump later tweeted that the Big Ten is "on the 1-yard line" when it comes to playing football this fall. The Big Ten then called it a "productive call" between the two men.

Are we getting our hopes up for nothing, or could Big Ten football really begin next month? Matt Baxendell joins Dave Biddle to discuss all of that, plus converse about Ohio State's latest commitment in its 2022 class: tight end Bennett Christian.

Just when you thought things could not get more ridiculous in the Big Ten, word leaked that the conference is now considering starting its football season in late November of this year. Because, obviously if it's not safe to play in September it would be safe to play in late November. Do you feel the sarcasm there?

Steve Helwagen joins Dave Biddle to discuss the latest craziness in the Big Ten, the great job by Ohio State's football parents at Saturday's rally outside Ohio Stadium, and senior defensive tackle Haskell Garrett thankfully being in stable condition after suffering a gunshot wound to the face on Saturday.

But some fans have said the university presidents are the ones who should be taking the heat from the public. Because if they wanted Big Ten football this fall, there would be Big Ten football.

But the same is true for Warren. If he wanted football to be played in the Big Ten this fall, there would be Big Ten football this fall.

The point is both things are true, and Matt Baxendell joins Dave Biddle on today's show to explain why.
