Ohio State secured a commitment from Quinn Ewers, the nation's top Class of 2022 quarterback. The top signal caller in 2023 is American QB royalty: Arch Manning, the grandson of Archie, nephew of Peyton and Eli.

Cornering Florida | Who tops 2023 QB board? May 06, 2021

You know the names. You know the position. You know the NFL Draft round: First (usually).

Ohio State cornerbacks Bradley Roby (2014), Eli Apple (2016), Marshon Lattimore (2017), Gareon Conley (2017), Denzel Ward (2018), Jeffrey Okudah (2020) and Damon Arnette (2020) all enjoyed first round signing bonus cash. Other starters along the way - Doran Grant (2015-fourth round), Kendall Sheffield (2019-fourth round) and Shaun Wade (2021-sixth round) also heard their names called, albeit later than desired.

But this much is clear: If you're an Ohio State starting cornerback, chances are you're headed to the NFL. Really, really good chances.

Word has reached Florida when it comes to cornerback and team success in Columbus. On Wednesday, the Buckeyes received a commitment from cornerback Ryan Turner. He joins fellow Floridian defensive back Jaheim Singletary and Kyle Stokes in the Class of 2022 haul Ohio State is putting together.

Will the Sunshine State takeover continue? What are the vibes on those already in the fold?

Buckeyes land fast-rising recruit | Luke Farrell is not 29 years old May 03, 2021

On Sunday, there was a bit of a recruiting surprise as Ohio State landed 3-star prospect Kye Stokes from Florida. However, calling Stokes a 3-star recruit is not something that people will be able to do for much longer as his offer list is extremely impressive and it looks like the Buckeyes landed a good one.

Patrick Murphy joins Dave Biddle for today's show to discuss that and look back on the NFL Draft from Ohio State's perspective. And here's a little tease: the reports that tight end Luke Farrell from OSU (who was taken by the Jacksonville Jaguars with the first pick of the fifth round) is a 29-year-old former minor league baseball player are false. And you will get to hear Patrick and Dave figure that out in real time.
