    Fond March memories and real standards for Ohio State basketball Mar 15, 2023

    On this Wednesday Buckeye Talk, which took an extra day to get up, Doug Lesmerises is talking about Ohio State basketball, but not the 2022-23 version of Ohio State basketball.

    No, the conversation here is memories and standards.

    So, to start (0:30), Doug looks at the history of the NCAA Tournament and explains where Ohio State ranks in the country in tournament appearances, tournament wins, Sweet 16 appearances, Sweet 16 appearances since 1985, and more. The point? Ohio State has a history that says it should be good at basketball.

    Then, (13:30) the talk turns to favorite OSU memories in the NCAA Tournament, from 1960 to 1992 to 1999 to 2007 to 2012 and more.

    Finally (57:10) there's a brief discussion of the end of this Ohio State season and what missing the tournament does for fan's enjoyment of March Madness.

    On this Monday Buckeye Talk from cleveland.com, Doug Lesmerises and Nathan Baird are wrapping up their coverage of the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis. That includes running through the interviews and workouts of the three Buckeyes they haven't talked about yet -- offensive linemen Paris Johnson Jr., Dawand Jones and Luke Wypler.

    First (0:30), Doug and Nathan go through some combine notes, including the measurements of several Buckeyes.

    Then (15:36), it's Johnson and the case he made to be the first tackle drafted.

    Then (27:25) it's Jones and his extraordinary size and first-round prospects.

    Then (33:28) it's to Wypler and if his Indy performance can get him into the second round.

    Receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba's outstanding testing and drills (44:47) got a lot of attention, and Doug and Nathan go through that next, as JSN may have confirmed his status as wide receiver one in the 2023 NFL Draft.

    Jaxon Smith-Njigba and C.J. Stroud at the NFL combine: Futures and regrets Mar 04, 2023

    On this Saturday Buckeye Talk from cleveland.com, Doug Lesmerises and Nathan Baird are discussing two big-time Ohio State Buckeyes at the NFL Scouting Combine. On Friday, quarterback C.J. Stroud and receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba spoke with reporters. They'll work out on Saturday.

    First (0:30), Doug and Nathan discuss Smith-Njigba and the hamstring injury that held him to 60 snaps in 2022. Speaking to reporters for the first time since the injury, he said he regretted trying to come back as fast as he did.

    Then (30:12), Doug and Nathan talk about Stroud, how close he came to staying at Ohio State, and what he said about running the ball with the Buckeyes.

    In the final segment (1:06:15), the talk turned to the teams where Stroud might best fit and how those might try to grab him in the 2023 NFL Draft.
