While the quarterback competition is the most pressing issue, plenty of other things stood out during the 90-minute practice.

Ohio State's offensive line philosophy and its most valuable piece Apr 04, 2025
    Show notes

Could Ohio State be adopting a new philosophy on the offensive line?

Tyler Bowen is taking over the position at a pivotal time, needing to replace a handful of starters, but the group still has plenty of experience. There’s a chance that this spring he could be building a depth of options that could allow for an approach OSU isn’t necessarily new to, but could do from a place of strength for the first time ever.

On this episode of Buckeye Talk, Stephen Means and Stefan Krajisnik discuss the potential of that approach and why one player holds the key to its success.

6 things to watch during Ohio State football’s second spring scrimmage Apr 03, 2025
    Show notes

Ohio State is a little more than a week away from its 2025 Spring Showcase, providing the general public an early look at its 2025 roster. But the students are getting an even earlier look.

When OSU goes through its second scrimmage of the spring, it'll open its doors to the student body to come watch. As a result, the media will also be in attendance.

While it's unrealistic to think Saturday's practice will showcase a finished product, there are still some questions that can be answered. On this episode of Buckeye Talk, Stephen Means, Stefan Krajisnik and Andrew Gillis discuss what they want to learn on Saturday.

Max Klare, Jelani Thurman and Ohio State’s tight end depth Mar 31, 2025
    Show notes

Keenan Bailey is excited about Ohio State's 2025 tight end room and he has good reason to be.

Even with the loss of Gee Scott Jr., Bailey returns three players with quality experience while throwing a high-end transfer on top. There is a chance that Bailey has more options at tight end than any other assistant coach has at their respective position groups.

On this episode of Buckeye Talk, Stephen Means, Stefan Krajisnik and Andrew Gillis discuss Ohio State's tight ends and their potential impact in 2025.

Thanks for listening to Buckeye Talk.

Arvell Reese, Sonny Styles and the limitless ceiling of Ohio State's linebackers Mar 28, 2025
    Show notes

Ohio State's 2025 starting linebacker tandem might have the highest ceiling of any duo in quite some time.

James Laurinaitis has developed the room to the point that a group that lost its leader and most productive player can essentially not be missed. That's not a knock on the now-departed Cody Simon. It's a salute to a player who clearly left the room in a quality place. Now guys are ready to take over his role both on the field and in the locker room as leaders. That starts with its top two guys as in-state talents ready to maximize their potential.

On this episode of Buckeye Talk, Stephen Means, Stefan Krajisnik and Andrew Gillis discuss just how high that ceiling is.

Thanks for listening to Buckeye Talk.
