Bridges with Patsy Clairmont and Andrew Greer

As a Boomer I love to talk. Turns out, so does my chatty Millennial co-host. And our favorite way to connect with one another, and hopefully help others connect with each other, is by building conversational bridges. No matter what end of the generational bridge you currently land on, we hope you will join us as we converse with some of our finest “skyscraper” friends who are making inspirational verbal and written differences in our ever-expanding, and ever-connected world.

This is Bridges with Patsy Clairmont and Andrew Greer … Spiritual Connections Through Generational Conversations.

Lean in and listen to the beyond-her-years insights of our friend Zandy Mowry of the most appealing folk-rock band, The New Respects. This week's featured song is: "What Makes the World" from the album, Before the Sun Goes Down, by The New Respects. Listen to it here.

Still Scared Silly! Jan 24, 2022
    Show notes

We began Bridges in the first few months of a worldwide pandemic with a conversation addressing something we know oh-so-well ... fear! (And anxiety, and so on and so forth.) Piggybacking off our series premiere, we are once again exploring what it means to thrive in a life of love and faith versus simply survive on days filled with fear. No matter what age you are, or where you find yourself along the spectrum between fear and faith, we hope as you join us for this conversation you feel a little less alone and a lot more known.

This week's featured song is: "Jesus, Friend, Be Near" from Andrew Greer. Find more of Andrew's music here.

Whether we are striving to please our families, or make December perfect for everyone on our list, unrealistic (and so unmet) expectations can reign supreme during the holidays. Our dear friend, Leigh Cappillino of the platinum-selling group Point of Grace, joins us to continue our conversations about creating space during the Christmas season through the beautiful and rewarding exercise of simplifying. If you don't already, you will love Leigh and the warmth in which she approaches these sometimes tough subjects.

Musical artist Tasha Layton went from contemplating suicide to recording the number one song in the country. But her journey from being on the brink to discovering a calling of purpose and passion wasn't as easy as "1-2-3." Here to encourage us in the long but fruitful path to spiritual and mental wholeness, especially when maneuvering life's hardships during the holidays, Tasha gives us insight into her own courage to move forward in life –– and inspiration for those of us who are also struggling this Christmas.

This week's featured songs are: "O Come, O Come Emmanuel" from our own Andrew Greer, and "O Holy Night" from Tasha Layton's new Christmas EP, This Is Christmas, which you can listen to here.

Christmas 2021: Creating Space for the Holidays Dec 06, 2021
    Show notes

We thought 2020 was a hum-dinger, but it turns out 2021 has been just as full of dynamic surprises and scenarios to work with and through! So this holiday season we are taking a few minutes to talk about how to simplify our lives so that we can create the proper space within our homes and hearts for the people and things that truly matter.

No matter what we are working through culturally or working out personally, creating space through simplifying our lives is one of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves and others. So lean back for a spell (we give you permission!) and join in a conversation full of grace for yourself (and others!) this Christmas season.

This week's featured songs are: "O Come, O Come Emmanuel" from our own Andrew Greer, and "The First Noel" from Andrew and Cindy Morgan, available on Andrew's live Christmas album here.

The Gray Havens | The Ache For Home Nov 29, 2021
    Show notes

The Gray Havens have been making music for the thinking person for nearly a decade, but it wasn't until burn-out from touring plunged them into a deep dive of all-things-C.S. Lewis that the married musical duo of David and Licia Radford began to really mine what it means to search for God –– to grow in faith and express more doubts –– while longing to be home. Conversation with these two is as beautiful as the songs they pen, so take a breather and relax into this conversation with The Gray Havens.

This week's featured songs are: "Blue Flower" and "Paradise" from The Gray Havens' new record, also titled "Blue Flower," which you can purchase here.
