It appears we may have a deadlocked jury on the Karen Read case. It has been reported that one juror had been visibly crying, but no further information was forthcoming. Would the State of Massachusetts retry Karen Read, in light of a pending federal investigation? Some law enforcement witness would likely have been arrested by the time a new trial rolled around. Karen Read-June 10, 2024-Trooper Proctor's testimony shocks Massachusetts, forensics dominate the remainder of the week Jun 17, 2024

Some of the most alarming testimony in this case was revealed, as Trooper Michael Proctor was called by the prosecution. He had called Karen Read some of the most sexist and derogatory names, via text to his high school friends and to his superiors at the Massachusetts State Police. At times, there was audible gasps from the jurors. The defense absolutely destroyed TPR. Proctor, in every way imaginable. Problems of chain of custody persisted . Proctor NEVER apologized to Karen Read. The next witness was Lt. Brian Tully, however the memories of Proctor's testimony echoed through the day. We finally had a State Police Trooper on the stand, But it was not lead detective Proctor. We also had some Mass State Police forensic techs on the stand, Adam Lally seemingly wanted to bore the jury to sleep and he was largely successful. One of the scientists appeared near tears when she had to name Detective Proctor. We ended the week with some excitement from Yuri Bukhenik. The Commonwealth put on a video that illustrated the MSP’s work inside the CPD Sallyport, all seemed well, until cross examination, which revealed the Prosecution submitted mirrored and possibly doctored video footage. Some new revelations and some old "gems". The newly revealed 2:22am phone conversations between Brian Albert and Brian Higgins occurred was revealed, what was the topic of conversation? Because no one knew that John O'Keefe was injured / dead.
The condition of the body. A six thousand pound SUV struck John going twenty-four miles an hour, yet there is no bruising, no broken bones. Does that make actual sense?
The taillights. Karen leaves John's house at 5:08am, she departed, striking John's vehicle as she does so. At that time you can see the light is mostly intact, if your eyes aren't lying, then how could the taillights already be on the lawn at Fairview at 12:30-1:00pm?

Karen Read Trial Week 4- Falsus in uno, falsus in omnibus=False in one, False in all-A disastrous week for the Commonwealth May 27, 2024

Where to begin? More Commonwealth witnesses try to fight against data, after previously agreeing the information was accurate. Allie McCabe got flustered when the Life 360 data, showed major inconsistencies in her timeline.
Colin Albert followed Mrs McCabe and the Commonwealth's case took more hits on witness credibility, photos and videos were produced, solidifying the family link between the Proctors and the Alberts. Colin stated on the stand that he had never been in a fight, however the Defense showed video of Colin, challenging other kids to...fight. Not a great day for the Commonwealth.
Both McCabe's were totally destroyed on cross examination, including newly uncovered texts messages and the infamous 7 butt dials to john's phone in 21 minutes and the later deleted 2:27am "how long to die in the cold" google search.
Brian Higgins's testimony closed in on perjury and he neeeded his attorney, while sitting on the stand. Higgins would become the third state's witness to cite unintentional "butt dials" This time the communication was between, Brian Albert and Higgins. This occurred hours before anyone knew John was dead. Higgins's testimony was horrific for the Prosecution.

Karen Read Trial Week 3-Prosecution struggles continue, Brian Albert's testimony rings false May 20, 2024

The third week of Karen Read's murder trial continued with the Commonwealth's case. Much like last week, each day got worse for the Commonwealth. Brian Albert got caught trying to distance himself from knowing Karen, the defense presented photographic evidence to the contrary. This segment combined with later testimony regarding previously unknown telephone calls with Brian Higgins, in the very early morning, and the destruction of cell phones, paints Brian Albert as unbelievable. The lack of witness preparation by ADA Lally is destroying the Commonwealth's case.
Witness Tristan Morris had a supremely difficult time on the stand, he may be the worst witness in Commonwealth history, replying "I don't recall" about fifty times, and displaying a distinct time blindness, which discredited his testimony.
Witness Julie Nagel was devastated by the defense, after revealing she allegedly saw a 5-6 foot blob on the lawn, problem was, she had NEVER told the police, even after she knew John O'Keefe had died. Not a great week for the Commonwealth!

What a week it was, Some of the worst and most suspect police activity in Commonwealth history was exposed. The testimony regarding forensics and crime scene management, seemingly made the evidence obtained by the state, useless. The police used a leaf blower to recover blood in the snow, however it also revealed the lack of taillight evidence, which was later found by the state police. This was a Crazy week, dont miss this episode!!

Karen Read Trial Week One-What a ride, the homicide investigator is a low life and other blockbusters! May 06, 2024

What a ride the first week of trial was. The opening statements were diametrically opposed. The Prosecution opened in a flat and confusing manner, barely making an accusation. The Defense opened, dropping several bombs including the fact that State Police Homicide Investigator Proctor illegally accessed Karen Read's phone. He then texted his high school buddies that he was looking for nude photos in the defendant's phone, Proctor also said he wasn't going to look at other suspects and finally he called Karen Read a horrible slur beginning with a C, furthermore he wished Karen Read would kill herself. The defense also had a field day with a veteran police officer's testimony, it was almost difficult to watch. The first days of the trial were not great for the prosecution, and that's an understatement!
Asst D.A. Lally was almost universally panned, his strategy seems, nonexistent. Please tune in and share this episode!
