Hosted by best friends Addison and Lorraine, Booked On Fantasy is your go-to place for all things fantasy. We explore the magical worlds of books, shows, and movies. We dive DEEP! We are a spoiler-free podcast — which means we’ve never read the books we’re discussing before. It’s wedding day in King’s Landing, and in true Game of Thrones fashion, it’s a gruesome and memorable night indeed! Episode 5 was a major cinematic and plot development masterpiece as our favorite characters make deals, form allies, and scheme their way to power. Rhaenyra gets married, lovers are scorned, and Alicent makes a bold statement as she asserts her dominance as Queen.

Throne of Glass: Ch 8-14 Spoiler-Free Deep Dive | Lavish Libraries, Champion's Challenge, & Mysterious Murders Apr 11, 2024

Welcome back to the Booked on Fantasy Podcast for episode two of our Throne of Glass deep dive! Today's episode covers chapters 8-14.

Celaena tours the castle with Chaol, where she discovers strange marks and a hauntingly eerie clock tower—but to her delight she also finds a breathtaking library. Celaena and the rest of the champions meet with the king to review the rules of the tournament, and the competition officially begins. Celaena spars with Chaol, who wins by tripping her. Despite this, their relationship begins to warm, showing signs of mutual respect and a budding friendship. The first challenge is a fun run, which Celaena successfully completes, but not before retching. Meanwhile, Celaena meets Princess Nehemia, and the two quickly become fast friends, bonding over their shared distrust of Rifthold and the royal court. Celaena throws herself into training for the tournament, determined to win her freedom. However, her focus is disrupted when a gruesome discovery is made—one of the champions has been murdered.

Throne of Glass: Ch 1-7 Spoiler-Free Deep Dive | Free-ish, Faerie Flowers, & the Glass Castle Apr 04, 2024

Welcome to the Booked on Fantasy Podcast! We are so excited to kick off our deep dive of Throne of Glass with chapters 1-7.

We are introduced to Celaena Sardothien who has been a slave in the Salt Mines of Endovier for the past year. She is offered a chance at freedom by the Crown Prince of Adarlan, Dorian Havilliard. Celaena will compete as Dorian's sponsored competitor in a competition to become the king's champion, if she wins she must serve the King of Adarlan for a set period of time and then her name will be cleared and she will be granted her freedom. Celaena agrees and begins the journey to the Glass Castle where she tries to interact with the stoic and disciplined Captain of the Royal Guard, Chaol Westfall. They arrive at the Glass Castle where Celaena is cleaned and pampered and begins her preparations for the competition.
