Behind Enemy Lines: Wilson's and Ibe's contrasting fortunes in a struggling season for the team Liverpool love to play Mar 06, 2020
    Show notes

After being knocked out of the FA Cup by Chelsea, Liverpool's Premier League campaign gets back underway on Saturday as they look to return to winning ways and take a step closer to the title with victory over Bournemouth at Anfield. Think the Reds are in bad form after losing three of their last four matches in all competitions? Bournemouth supporters might not particularly agree - their side have won just seven league games all season, and have lost their last five meetings with Liverpool by an aggregate score of 17-0. So, with all that in mind, Matt Addison speaks to Tom Crocker of the Bournemouth Echo to preview the encounter and assess where it might be won and lost. There is also the latest on both Harry Wilson, who is on loan from the Reds to the south coast side, and Jordon Ibe, the former Liverpool winger who moved to Eddie Howe's team in 2016. It's the perfect preview podcast ahead of Saturday's match. For information regarding your data privacy, visit acast.com/privacy

    Show notes

What can be done about Liverpool's recent, and unexpected, struggles? Join Neil Fitzmaurice, Paul Gorst and Connor Dunn as they try and answer exactly that question. The trio discuss and analyse the defeats to Watford and Chelsea, with Fitzy wondering whether Jurgen Klopp must find different ways to break down opponents, while Paul and Connor wonder whether a series of hard-fought victories, which make a mockery of the claim that the Premier League is weak, are catching up with the Reds. Talk then turns to Timo Werner, the futures of Xherdan Shaqiri and Naby Keita, and the influence of injured captain Jordan Henderson, before Fitzy springs a surprise quiz on his guests. The Agenda: What is behind Liverpool's slump since the winter break as Fabinho's struggles continue Mar 04, 2020
    Show notes

Two defeats in two games. It seems almost unfathomable for Liverpool with the Treble hopes now gone after being eliminated from the FA Cup against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Sean Bradbury and Connor Dunn both look back on the recent showings following defeat to Watford, prior to the cup game with Chelsea. They discuss where things have just fallen off the high standards that had previously been set from the defensive woes to the lack of goals in recent showings. As well as talking broadly on the team, the guys discuss the form of Fabinho who has struggled to recapture his early season form after being one of the standout players prior to injury against Napoli in the Champions League. Blood Red: Defending Dejan, FA Cup debate and invincibility isn’t for everyone Mar 03, 2020
    Show notes

Join Connor Dunn, Ian Doyle, Joe Rimmer and Matt Addison as they reflect on the rarest of events: a Liverpool defeat in the Premier League. It was Nigel Pearson's Watford - second-bottom in the table heading into the weekend - who ended their 44-game unbeaten streak, and the panel analyse exactly where it went wrong. Dejan Lovren was the Reds man who took most of the criticism online, but he was far from the only one who under-performed. With Liverpool to face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the FA Cup on Tuesday, how will the weekend's result impact that fixture? And how strong will the line-up that Jurgen Klopp selects be? All those questions, as well as the shock departure of under-23s boss Neil Critchley, are discussed and analysed in the latest Blood Red podcast. Enjoy! Post-Game: Liverpool's 44-game unbeaten Premier League run ended by Watford Feb 29, 2020
    Show notes

Welcome to the first Post-Game podcast since January 3, 2019 that's reacting to a Premier League defeat for Liverpool. Yes, the Reds went down fair and square, 3-0 at Watford tonight, to see their 44-match unbeaten league run come to an end. It has to be placed in context. Jurgen Klopp’s side have been nothing short of magnificent this season and it's only a matter of time before they get their hands on the title. But there’s no getting away from it – it was a very bad night at the office. And that much is underlined with the views from the pressbox, the dugout and the stands that you’re about to hear.
