We'll Be Right Back Dec 22, 2018

It's been a whole year since our last Black Mirror fix, but could that all be about to change?
Fans are wildly speculating that a Black Mirror feature length movie could be about to drop: Bandersnatch! Secretive as ever, not much is known about the new feature and Netflix are remaining tight lipped about when it might drop. A quickly deleted Twitter post reckons Black Mirror: Bandersnatch could be dropping onto the streaming site shortly.
Is it an 1980's video game themed outing for Charlie Brooker's anthology series? Could this be the rumoured interactive episode? We'll have to wait just a little longer to find out. But if/when it drops, Black Mirror Cracked will return with new show host and super fan, James Ide.

Black Museum's Aldis Hodge wants a puppy for Carrie May 11, 2018

Aldis Hodge (@AldisHodge) joins the podcast to talk about Jack, Carrie, That Monkey and all things Black Museum.
A Black Mirror fan before he was sent the script, Hodge jumped at the chance to be part of the show.

Black Museum also tackles racial politics in Trump's America: a tough subject, but an absolutely necessary one. Just look at how this week's airwaves have been dominated by Childish Gambino's 'This is America' video.
"The lack of understanding the pain that you're causing with the weapon you're causing it with - only to gain more for yourself personally - is exactly indicative of Rolo Haynes," Hodge says. It also sounds like how a historian might one day sum up our grimly regressive era.

Black Musuem's Daniel Lapaine won't apologise for the orgasms May 09, 2018

Daniel Lapaine brings 'La Pain' to this episode of the pod for an exclusive - and raucous - interview about his work on Black Mirror.
Lapaine - who shot to fame as a dreamy swimmer in 1994 Australian comedy Muriel's Wedding - has a very special place in the Black Mirror universe.
He's in not just one, but two episodes. He makes a cameo appearance at the start of Season 1's The Entire History of You, on the interview panel sizing up Liam (Toby Kebbell).
He returns to the show to take the lead in the first story of Black Museum, The Pain Addict, based on a short story by magician Penn Jillette.
It's a performance that only works if the actor throws himself fully in - and Lapaine does, orgasm noises at a hospital bedside and all. Well, if Rolo Haynes (Douglas Hodge, who's been interviewed on the podcast) was okay with it, we're going to have to be too.

The Entire History of You's Rhashan Stone on the Peep Show POV Apr 04, 2018

Rhashan Stone, who plays Jeff in The Entire History of You, calls Season 1's finale "Black Mirror before it was Black Mirror."
He has a point: it's the first episode to feature a cranial implant and future tech that undoes a pair of lives.
It's the only episode written by Peep Show co-creator Jesse Armstrong, and he brings the point-of-view camera technique over to this episode of Black Mirror with him.
Jeff is the first character to show the audience just how deep into a past experience the characters can go, with recollections that they can (but probably shouldn't) revisit any time:
"This is a 5-star suite! I paid good money to have perfect details! Now? I've got that sh***y carpet. For the rest of my life."
Little do any of them realise just how far Liam (Toby Kebbell) will fall down the rabbit hole of memory.
