    Beyond the Bump

Beyond the Bump is a podcast brought to you by Jayde Couldwell and Sophie Pearce. It began in the baby years and has grown right alongside us, because motherhood keeps evolving long after the baby stage ends.

This is a place for real conversations and honest questions, no matter how hard, about the parts of motherhood that often go unspoken. The mental load that changes shape rather than easing. The identity shifts. The stage where life doesn’t suddenly feel simpler. Wherever you are in it, the aim is the same: to leave you feeling lighter, more understood and a little less alone after every listen.

Sex life after kids, can we talk about it? - with Rachel, founder of sexual wellness brand, LBDO Oct 20, 2026
    Show notes

We’re so excited to welcome back Rachel, founder of Australian sexual wellness brand LBDO, who is now seven weeks postpartum with baby Elijah. This is an honest, shame free chat about intimacy, female pleasure and the reality of the postpartum body. Fair warning, it gets a bit spicy, so listen with headphones if little ears are around. We discuss…

    • Why there’s still so much stigma around female pleasure, and why Rachel started LBDO
    • Mismatched libidos, the mental load and why it’s completely normal
    • Using a vibrator with your partner (it’s not about replacing them) and how to start the conversation outside the bedroom
    • Why intimacy doesn’t have to mean sex, and bringing back the pash
    • The six week postpartum “all clear” and why that milestone is so arbitrary
    • Accepting your postpartum body, bounce back culture and the guilt that comes with body positivity
    • Building a mini postpartum capsule wardrobe
    • Talking to our daughters about pleasure and having a shame free household

Please note, providing a child under 16 with sex toys or pornography is a criminal offence.
