2019 Camp, Day 1: The key takeaways from Jay Gruden's opening presser, including thoughts on Trent Williams' absence Jul 24, 2019
    Show notes

JP Finlay, Mitch Tischler and Pete Hailey are BACK in Richmond and are very fired up about it. After reflecting on the start of another camp, the guys get right down to it, as they react to what Jay Gruden was asked and what he said in his first podium session. In doing so, they assess what was talked about in terms of Trent Williams not being here, plus Mason Foster's release and the impending QB battle. At some point, Brian Mitchell inserts himself by politely (just kidding) taking Pete's mic as well as his chair. The four then do their initial edition of "One Thing" before wrapping things up by discussing their very first official podcast wedding invite. If you like podcasts where Mitch is more bullish than normal (like, way more bullish) and B-Mitch puts Pete on the PUP list, then this is the episode for you.

Evaluating Kevin O'Connell as a potential head coach and a complete preview of 2019 training camp in Richmond Jul 19, 2019
    Show notes

To start, JP and Pete ask Phillips about his article on Kevin O'Connell, in which he asks whether KOC is going to be the Redskins' next head coach. Are the Sean McVay comparisons fair, and what goes into being the leader in Washington? All that, and more, is covered. Then, the guys turn toward Richmond, as Phillips delivers yet another terrific preview of what's to come at training camp. You'll learn about scooters, buses, restaurants and advice for taking in the action, as the trio give their tips and favorite parts about the whole experience. If you like podcasts where Pete considers doing menial chores for cash and Phillips delivers a profound line about coaching the Redskins, then this is the episode for you.

    Early Preview of Panthers/Skins + Look at 2020 Draft Jul 17, 2019
    Show notes

Loaded episode as JP & Pete first talk to Darin Gantt of Pro Football Talk who lives in Charlotte and then Jordan Reid from The Draft Network (not the TE from Florida).

The first thing Gantt is asked is for his national view of the Redskins, which is always a valuable thing to get from someone as plugged in as him. In that discussion, you'll hear JP lay out his theory about Washington's fan base, which Gantt supports. You'll also get Gantt's take on why Jay Gruden is a "really good" coach, which Gruden supporters and detractors should both take in. Lastly, since Gantt has lots of Panthers connections, you'll receive an update on Cam Newton's health, which matters to Washington since they travel to Carolina this year.

Then if you like NFL Draft talk, then Reid is going to be your guy. In his discussion with the hosts, he breaks down the biggest needs facing the Redskins in 2020 and also gives names that could fill those needs. He then zooms in on the wide receivers who'll be coming out next April, and as a group, it's LOADED. Before he goes, Reid also provides his take on Dwayne Haskins and Bryce Love. If you like podcasts where there's a weird amount of spelling shtick and JP and Pete laugh over a word they should be more mature about, then this is the episode for you.

Could the Redskins really upset the Patriots early on in 2019? We ask a New England reporter that very question Jul 14, 2019
    Show notes

JP Finlay & Pete Hailey welcome on Phil Perry from NBC Sports Boston and ask him if the Week 5 Redskins-Patriots game could be one of those early season slip-ups New England typically has. Perry has an intriguing answer, and odds are, you likely won't enjoy it. You'll also hear Perry give an early preview of the Pats roster and learn about one of the many things that sets them apart from other teams such as the Redskins. If you like podcasts where you get parts of the blueprint to beat the Patriots from someone who's covered them for a long time and you also get a Mo Harris update, then this is the episode for you.

Learning more about Dwayne Haskins the QB and leader, and asking whether he has what it takes to succeed as a pro Jul 12, 2019
    Show notes

JP Finlay & Pete "Michigan Bandwagon" Hailey welcome on Ohio State beat reporter Bill Rabinowitz and the guys ask for insight on Dwayne Haskins' personality and leadership qualities and also wonder whether he'll be the first Buckeye QB to have real, true success in the NFL. They then ask Rabinowitz about Terry McLaurin, and the answer there will have Redskins fans feeling very good about the wideout. If you like podcasts where Pete abandons the college he went to and you get to learn more about your franchise's potential answer under center, then this is the episode for you.
