Giving thoughts on Scott Turner's extension, Brandon Scherff & Landon Collins' departures and JD McKissic's value Mar 14, 2022

Show notes

JP Finlay, Mitch Tischler and Pete Hailey recorded this Washington Football Talk right as the legal tampering period of free agency began, but even if some Washington-related news occurs after its publish time, the show is still worth your while. In this installment, the guys react to Scott Turner's new contract extension, Brandon Scherff joining the Jaguars, Landon Collins becoming a cap casualty and how much JD McKissic is worth to the franchise. If you like podcasts where Mitch powers through after a weekend in Miami plus the departure of an All-Pro lineman (and hate podcasts where JP brings up the potential of a Terry McLaurin-less future), then this is the episode for you.

Russell Wilson is now on the Broncos and the Commanders remain STUCK in the Quarterback Abyss Mar 08, 2022

Show notes

JP Finlay, Mitch Tischler and Pete Hailey are quite freaked out about the Russell Wilson trade, which you probably are, too. This Washington Football Talk was recorded in the immediacy of the blockbuster deal and the hosts came in hot as they explain how this makes the Commanders look and how disappointing it is that they once again finished as a runner-up in a race for a top-notch QB. There's also some Jordan Love debate, because that's the kind of passer Washington might have to start seriously considering. If you like podcasts where JP starts pushing t-shirts like never before, then this is the episode for you.

The guys discuss how they hope that the Commanders have made an offer for Aaron Rodgers, even if it's a hopeless one, and then move on to a larger conversation about how all this chatter about adding a QB better result in ~actually~ adding a QB. After that, they toss to Mitch and Pete's interview with Hines Ward and Terrell Davis, where the two legends laugh about the Commanders' rebrand and praise Terry McLaurin. If you like podcasts where JP brings up selling printers and Pete and Mitch compete to see who can do a better setup for their interview, then this is the episode for you.

LIVE POD: Answering questions about quarterback, possible in-stadium gameday chants and plenty more Feb 18, 2022

Show notes

JP Finlay, Mitch Tischler and Pete Hailey are coming at you LIVE from Ourisman Fairfax Toyota, along with the massive crowd that adores them and showed up to support them. If you like podcasts where JP outlines a three-team trade that nets the Commanders Russell Wilson and you learn about Pete leaving Mitch out to dry and his "busy day," then this is the episode for you.

Is a mid-tier QB going to be enough of an upgrade for the Commanders? Plus, an interview with Jay Glazer Feb 14, 2022

Show notes

JP Finlay, Mitch Tischler and Pete Hailey enjoyed Super Bowl LVI and want to pass along some of their impressions from the game, but first, they address Mike Florio's statements about Dan Snyder that were made on the Super Bowl's pregame show. After handling both of those items, the guys move on to more QB chatter, specifically mid-tier options like Jimmy G. Is someone of that ability enough for the Commanders or not? It's a discussion that takes up the bulk of the show. Lastly, you'll hear Mitch and Pete's interview with Jay Glazer, an NFL insider for FOX who is a staunch supporter of what Ron Rivera is doing in Washington. If you like podcasts where Pete brags about a recent alcohol purchase and there's info about the trio's next LIVE appearance — come visit us at Ourisman Fairfax Toyota this Thursday! — then this is the episode for you.
