A key thing to remember about the final preseason game and two 1-on-1s with young defenders Aug 28, 2018
    Show notes

JP Finlay, Rich Tandler and Pete Hailey piled into the mobile podcast studio to enjoy its glorious AC and bring you quality Redskins insight. Things kick off with the guys reminding listeners and fans a critical thing about the fourth preseason game that you need to remember. They then run through the roster and try to determine just how many jobs are still up for grabs. Eventually, JP tosses to two interviews; one with Troy Apke and another with Jerod Fernandez. How is Apke planning on bouncing back from a rough Denver game and what's it like for Fernandez as he tries to scratch and claw his way onto the 53? Finally, the pod wraps with JP and Rich offering up some incentive to those of you who haven't followed @RedskinsTalkPod on Instagram yet. If you like podcasts where the wacky "Hi Tandler" bit continues and Pete botches the year Tandler graduated from high school, then this is the episode for you.

A sneaky player to watch, an argument against AP and a 1-on-1 with Adonis Alexander Aug 27, 2018
    Show notes

JP Finlay, Rich Tandler and Mitch Tischler bring you this pod from the interview room at Redskins Park and start off by looking at the injuries that Colt McCoy, Zach Brown, Josh Norman, Chris Thompson and Jordan Reed are dealing with. Are any of them a big deal? They then move into a discussion on a surprise guy who *might* steal a spot on the roster and become a really awesome storyline if so. After, JP tosses to an interview with Warren Sharp, an analyst who is mega-intelligent about football (13:44). Be sure to listen as Sharp breaks down why 'Skins fans should maybe chill out when it comes to the Adrian Peterson excitement. And finally, JP goes 1-on-1 with Adonis Alexander (23:33) and asks the rookie corner to grade his debut and where he likes to play in the secondary. If you like podcasts where Tandler says hi to himself and you get to hear from one of the more intriguing prospects on the roster, then this is the episode for you.

Catching up on the competition at RB and WR, plus the appointment of 83 ambassadors Aug 26, 2018
    Show notes

JP Finlay, Rich Tandler, Pete Hailey and Ajay Atayee are bringing you this pod from JP's car out in Ashburn. Football is the focus at first, as the hosts recap who's healthy and who's not at running back and receiver and then debate the job security of players like Rob Kelley, Kapri Bibbs, Brian Quick and Trey Quinn. They then shift into an important segment (22:50), as they recognize all of the new podcast ambassadors. There are 80-plus names to read, so get comfy. If you like podcasts where Ajay contributes despite sitting in the trunk and Tandler is especially strict about made up rules, then this is the episode for you.

Recapping the good (Adrian Peterson) and the BAD (basically everything else) from the Redskins-Broncos dress rehearsal Aug 25, 2018
    Show notes

JP Finlay, Rich Tandler and Mitch Tischler recorded this postgame podcast from the sidelines of FedEx Field, so please excuse the constant lawn-mowing/grass-blowing sounds in the background. The opening section of the episode is heavy on Adrian Peterson, who was the lone bright spot in an otherwise dreadful performance by the 'Skins. Is it time to adjust expectations for No. 26 already? After the Peterson praise, the hosts move on to the rest of Washington's roster and look at everything from Alex Smith's lackluster effort to Troy Apke's night to forget. If you like podcasts where two out of three Redskins Talkers aren't wearing shoes and JP gives out half game-balls in an effort to find something to celebrate, then this is the episode for you. A pretty serious preview of Redskins-Broncos: Who needs to show out and how much should the starters play? Aug 23, 2018
    Show notes

JP Finlay, Rich Tandler and Pete Hailey are here for their dress rehearsal preview podcast, in which they preview the Redskins' dress rehearsal that's coming up vs. the Broncos. The guys discuss how much Washington's starters should play and also go back and forth naming players that are in need of a strong performance against Denver. Everyone from Adrian Peterson to Jeremy Sprinkle is mentioned. You'll get 30 good minutes of football talk from that part of the action. The fourth quarter of the pod, meanwhile, is devoted to the appointment of all the Redskins Talk listeners who applied for ambassadorships, and there were a lot of you, so thank you and congratulations. If you like podcasts where Tandler shows his greedy side and JP complains about his yard, then this is the episode for you.

Making observations from Adrian Peterson's first day as a Redskin and dissecting all that was said about the RB Aug 21, 2018
    Show notes

JP Finlay, Rich Tandler, Mitch Tischler and Pete Hailey were all in attendance for what is now being deemed "Adrian Peterson Day" and are here to tell you all about it. From the picnic table in Ashburn, the four go through what they (briefly) saw from him on the field and also run through all that was said about the RB at the podium. From Jay Gruden calling him a "physical freak" to Doug Williams' thoughts on the former MVP to AP saying he intends to be the starter, there's a lot to parse through. There's also some non-Peterson nuggets in the pod, too, from JP catching up with Cam Sims to a funny Colt McCoy story courtesy of Mitch. If you like podcasts where every angle of a Hall of Famer's arrival is analyzed, then this is the episode for you.

The Adrian Peterson Emergency Pod: Breaking down the 'Skins' signing of the former MVP Aug 20, 2018
    Show notes

JP Finlay, Rich Tandler, Mitch Tischler and Pete Hailey convened for this Emergency Pod following the Redskins' signing of Adrian Peterson. What should you expect from the legend, who does this move affect the most and will this actually make the team better? All that and more is covered in your favorite Redskins-centric podcast.

Making sense of Adrian Peterson's reported visit and the shifting RB situation, plus discussing how crucial Week 1 is Aug 19, 2018
    Show notes

JP Finlay, Rich Tandler, Pete Hailey and pod favorite John Keim got together at the picnic table in Ashburn for this all-encompassing and strong episode of Redskins Talk. The first of many topics is the team's messy running back situation, with the hosts covering all of the free agent visits that are being reported and whether or not fans should expect a guy like Adrian Peterson to actually sign. Next is a conversation on Jamison Crowder and Josh Harvey-Clemons, two guys who have missed a decent chunk of practice time this offseason and who are slated to play vital roles in 2018. You'll also be treated to a talk about how important a Week 1 win is as well as an all-over installment of "One Thing." Finally, things wrap with JP presenting a Pete theory that is immediately proven correct and the Redskins Talkers putting a percentage on the 'Skins' chances to win a playoff game. If you like podcasts where Keim fights through a weird mic issue to contribute solid content and a large amount of one-to-ten scales are used, then this is the episode for you.

Redskins-Jets preseason recap: This D-line looks LEGIT, and are Sims and Bibbs making pushes for the 53? Aug 17, 2018
    Show notes

For the FIRST time in 2018, JP Finlay, Rich Tandler and Mitch Tischler recorded a post-victory podcast (yeah, it's preseason, but don't be so technical) and it's ready for you to enjoy. And, even though a 15-13 exhibition game sounds very boring, this episode is anything but. The receivers dominate the early portion of this recap, as the hosts wonder if Trey Quinn is at fault for his failed end zone connection with Alex Smith and also evaluate whether Cam Sims is primed to overtake Brian Quick. Eventually, though, as he usually does, Mitch steers things toward the BIG men and gushes over Daron Payne, Jonathan Allen and the rest of the 'Skins' defensive line. In fact, he even makes a bold proclamation about that specific unit. In the Game Balls and Goats segment, JP, Rich and Mitch hype up Kapri Bibbs (another riser) but don't give as much love to the NYJ LB who blasted Colt McCoy. Plus, stick around for the end as JP exclusively interviews both Sims & Bibbs postgame. If you like podcasts where JP and Tandler find a way to argue about whether there's an MRI machine at FedEx Field and Tandler also gets super grumpy about Dustin Hopkins receiving a game ball, then this is the episode for you.
