CANDIACE DILLARD (on RHOP Past/Present/Future, Cast Mate Feuds & Ashley Darby's Divorce) Nov 15, 2023

Show notes

Candiace Dillard steps back Behind The Rope. Candiace Dillard from the vault that is. This never before aired chat, on the heels of last season’s The Real Housewives of Potomac premiere, is shared here today with Miss Candy Gal and our regular BFF Sarah Fraser. We talk RHOP past, present and future. We chat Ashley Darby’s divorce from Michael, Gizelle Bryant’s love life, Robyn and Juan Dixon and so much more. Candiace opens up about her over zealous mouth and twitter finger which often gets her into hot water, the involvement of husband Chris Basset, being held to a different standard than many of her RHOP cast mates and how, no matter what she does, people hate, or love to hate her. Of course, we also chat music a la her first album “Deep Space”, other housewives’ music a la Countess Lu, Mel Gorga and the like and how she turned to one and only Kandi Burrus as well as Erika Jayne to not get caught up in the Housewives music mix. As we say, she mentions it all.

SUZANNE SOMERS (on an Iconic Career & Life Well Lived) - Another Tribute Interview Nov 12, 2023

Show notes

Suzanne Somers died on October 15th, one day before her 77th birthday. Suzanne died of breast cancer with metastasis to the brain. I had the pleasure of interviewing Suzanne not once but twice. How I got so lucky through this job, through this podcast, to interview a living legend like Suzanne is beyond me. Trust me, the opportunity, the experience has never been, and is not, lost on me. Suzanne was a Trailblazer, an Icon, an Actress, Comedic Gold, an Entrepreneur, and Fearless. You do realize that if ABC tried to fire her today for demanding the equal pay of her male co-stars, she would own ABC? Something we talked about. Everyone's been slipping into my DMs because most of you know that I've interviewed her twice, asking if I am going to do something special to honor her. On that note, I am sharing the first of those initial chats in its original form, with no edits. Of course, we mention it all - Three’s Company, Step By Step, the Thighmaster, her appearance on RHOBH, and much, much more. This is not an interview that should be overlooked. Time changes so fast, and life is so precious. Tomorrow is not guaranteed. This was such a special experience for me. Suzanne will never know how much she touched my life through this chat. Today, we share our second sit down to honor the life of Miss Suzanne Somers!

ALLISON DUBOIS (on Kyle & Mauricio’s Reality, Dorit & PK’s Future, Erika's Empathy & Vanity Fair’s “Reckoning”) II Nov 08, 2023

Show notes

Allison DuBois steps back, again, Behind The Rope!! With two episodes of this season of RHOBH under our belts, Allison stops by to help break down this current season of RHOBH. First, we revisit her thirteen year in the making prediction that Mauricio will never emotionally fulfill Kyle. Know That!! Allison breaks down the recent scenes between Kyle and Mauricio helping us separate the real from fake and weighing in on all the recent real world events - Morgan, DWTS and many conflicting statements. Next, we break down the Dorit & PK “Pretty Woman” scene and discuss whether these two are separated or not - despite Dorit’s weekend BravoCon claims that they are, in fact, not separated. We discuss how the season is going for other cast mates - Sutton, Garcelle, Crystal, the fact that Erika is learning “empathy” for the first time (Allison actually knows Dr. Jenn Mann well) and what the arrival of Annemarie Wiley in episode six really means for the rest of this season and future of this franchise. Finally, we talk Reality Reckoning, Andy Cohen’s latest, Kyle’s recent WWHL appearance and why Kyle just cannot keep Allison’s name out of her mouth. As we like to say, Allison mentions it all. Part II Starts Now!
