    In this episode, Mireille Ellsworth, a Hawai’i public school teacher joins Dr. Kelly to discuss her concerns for returning to in-person instruction for the upcoming school year. Mireille describes how she transformed her concerns into a grassroots campaign, full of creative ideas for advocating for a safe return to schools. Mireille discusses with Dr. Kelly how she and her colleagues effectively advocated for additional training for teachers and a delay in the start of in-person school for the 20-21 school year. Mireille describes the 4-phase plan her group feels is needed for us to safely return to our public school campuses. She explores how we have increased behaviors (e.g. cooking at home, wearing masks), while others have decreased (e.g., dinning out, traveling) and others have changed (e.g., celebrating birthdays, going to the grocery store). Dr. Kelly explores some of these new daily truths and does so thru a behavior analytic lens.
