Paul manages to cover love, debt, adultery, drunkenness, fighting, jealousy, getting dressed, and the end of the age in seven verses. His message is simple: you owe people love, you don't have time to keep playing with darkness, and if you're going to call yourself a Christian, it's time to put on Christ and live like morning is coming.

Everybody loves the idea of being a "living sacrifice" until they realize sacrifices don't get to negotiate the terms. In Romans 12, Paul takes eleven chapters of deep theology and finally says, "Therefore…" In other words, now that you know what God has done for you, what are you going to do about it?

We'll unpack what it actually means to put your whole life on the altar, stop letting the world squeeze you into its mold, and allow God to renovate the way you think. Then Paul makes things even more uncomfortable: stop thinking you're the most important person in the room, figure out where you fit in the Body of Christ, and actually use the gifts God gave you.
