When her successful 14 yr radio career came to an abrupt end, Sally Wallace accepted that this was the end of her lifelong passion with the mic. In fact, at the time, she felt like it was the end of everything. Years of dedicating time, energy, and love into a career that was over in a brief sentence.
What was she to do now?
What could she do?
Wait a minute… doesn’t “everything happen for a reason”?? After years of struggling with fertility was this the sign she needed?
Eventually she became a mum at 40 via IVF/ICSI and changed her career completely by stepping into the automotive industry… and yet she couldn’t shift her passion for conversation and bought a microphone, with the intent of starting a podcast.
Consumed with self-doubt and fear, she was holding back on launching the podcast she was dreaming of and hid the mic in a cupboard. Having never seen a psychic before and always being very skeptical, she was compelled to go. The signs were all there and she sat with a lady who told her there was a microphone at home and she needed to use it! She was told she was here to help people, laugh and cry with them, tell stories and inspire.
“Adventures of a Geriatric Mum” podcast was born the next day. Sally’s podcast was initially to break down the taboo’s surrounding fertility, but it has become so much more. A place to hear incredible stories of women, women helping women, professionals who can help in all areas of life, from fertility to menopause. A place to laugh out loud, and have a cry in the car.
Sally is honest, open, and shares stories from her journey so far and invites you to share yours.
Warning!! This podcast is infectious! Expect smiles, laughs, plenty of potty mouth, and a warm welcome to the good vibe tribe.
