Be Here For A While — Comedy
Be Here For A While

Rachael O’Brien is a stand-up comedian/actress who has performed in 9 countries all over the world doing stand-up. Her self deprecating humor is at the center of the weekly show. On each episode, Rachael dissects the comedic moments in the lives and careers of her friends and notable entertainment industry personalities. She enjoys interviewing talent about their personal struggles and successes, learning more about tips and tricks on how to live a happy and successful life, diving into (and sarcastically analyzing) dating and relationships, and through all this, she loves giving her listeners weekly inspiration to reach their goals — or at the very least give them some laughs to get them through their day. O’Brien’s flourishing comedy career includes doing stand up worldwide in the most prominent comedy clubs and sharing the stage all-star comics including David Spade, Ali Wong, Bill Burr, Whitney Cummings and Judd Apatow, to name a few! You can also follow and listen to her two other podcasts that delve into the world of True Crime, “Deadly Diocese” which is the active investigation into the mysterious death of a Catholic priest, just days before he was about to expose the Diocese of Buffalo for their sins….and then…. “Seven Deadly Sinners” which runs the gamut of cult leaders, to false preachers, to murderers all hiding under the false pretense of saints when they are masking their sinful lives.

Show notes

Former attorney turned best selling children's book author and host of the legal podcast The Whole Truth's Jill Rosensweig joins Rachael to discuss the trauma of losing her mother the day before she went to college and the inevitable disaster that year turned into after being politely asked to leave the school. Jill turned her life around and focused hard and eventually got admitted one of the most prestigious colleges in Canada and eventually also law school. We talk about the mistreatment she experienced at her first job, so much so that on 9/11 she kept working out of a fear that she needed to prove herself, despite the fact that the entire neighborhood around her was going on lock down. We also discuss what she learned from that and she gives incredible advice on how and when to stand up for yourself in the workplace. We also discuss a conversation with a homeless man that changed her life.

233: The Disappearance of Rebecca Modrall Sep 25, 2020

Show notes

Rachael is joined by Reyna and Marie of the "Those Murder Girls Podcast" to discuss a case that hits close to home.
On February 5, 2019, 33-year-old Rebecca Modrall drove to one of the houses her boyfriend, Joe Coker, owned in La Quinta, California. Joe had called her and asked her to come over so he could cook her dinner. Rebecca was seen on camera entering the gated community where Joe lived and her truck was later seen exiting with two people driving it, none of which were Rebecca. That was the last sighting of Rebecca Modrall. Rebecca had plans to meet up with a friend after visiting Joe, but she never made it. Her friend sent her numerous text messages and called her phone, but the messages went unread and the calls unreturned. Rebecca’s family believes they know what happened to her but they wonder if money and political influence have gotten in the way of solving her case.
If you have any information about the disappearance of Rebecca Modrall, you are asked to call the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office at 951-955-2450.
