Show notes
Mitchell Mesenbrink joins the show to discuss what he's been up to since the NCAA season, why he chose not to compete on this international circuit, and how he's starting to feel the itch to get back on the mat.
He shares what his training has been focused on, talks about the non-bonus win at NCAA's over Hepner, and opens up about the role faith plays in his life, describing the "God-shaped hole" he believes everyone has.
Mitchell also reflects on the family atmosphere at Penn State, what winning the Hodge Trophy meant to him, the influence of his parents throughout his wrestling journey, and takes part in a fun coaching word association segment.
The conversation wraps up with stories about Ben Askren's impact on the sport, thoughts on Ben competing at Real American Freestyle, and answers to a variety of fan-submitted questions.
