What's up y'all? One podcast for today wasn't enough - in fact we're bringing you another one one, in the form of a new project brought to you by Baltimore Beatdown editors Kyle Barber (@BB_KylePBarber) and Vasilis Lericos (@VasilisBeatdown). "Host, Chief & Deputy" is a quarterly podcast that dives into the Ravens season at each quarter point, breaking down everything from a recap of the previous quarter, to a look ahead at the next, where the team's strengths and weaknesses lie, predictions of where things are headed for Baltimore, and much, much more. This is a new pod idea, so if you guys have any thoughts or ideas on how to improve things, feel free to hit up the above Twitter handles, or the producer of this show @Jakelouque to pass them along. Thanks a ton for checking this one out, and stay tuned to the Baltimore Beatdown Podcast moving forward, and to keep an eye on it at each quarter for these to drop! Peace out.

    Burrowing in Oct 09, 2020
    Show notes

What's up everyone? Week 5 in the NFL is here, and we of course have a Ravens preview for you all to enjoy. Visiting Baltimore this week are the Skyline Chili-eating Cincinnati Bengals, led by young head coach Zac Taylor, and new face of the franchise quarterback Joe Burrow. This is a team that's gotten off to a frisky start, and may prove to be a bit of a tougher test for the Ravens than it appears to be on paper due to Cinci's opportunistic nature on defense, and the talent that they have on offense. Joining Jake today are Kyle (@BB_KylePBarber) and Vas (VasilisBeatdown) to chop this game up, via the following run sheet:

    • Talking news
    • Looking at the injury report
    • Breaking down the Bengals offense
    • And of course, their defense
    • ...and special teams (you're welcome, Kyle)

We really hope you guys enjoy this one, and we'll talk to you again very, very soon!

    Show notes

Ravens went to Washington to get everything back in order after the Week 3 embarrassing loss to the Chiefs. The Ravens did what they were supposed to do and beat a team going through issues in Washington. The guys break down the game and what to look forward to this sunday.

Week 4 breakdown on offense and defense. We speak on what impressed us on offense such as Orlando Brown showing that he is able to switch to Left Tackle in the NFL, Marlon Humphrey continues to get the Ravens turnovers weekly, Lamar looking impressive with throws and the 50 yard td and more!

What we were worried about such as another week of the Ravens not stopping screen plays, No pass rush without blitzing, and more!

Talk briefly about the up coming Bengals game!

The Big Bad Bounce Back Boys have been here, baby Oct 05, 2020
    Show notes

It wasn't pretty, it wasn't perfect, but the Ravens have officially had the bounce back that everyone was looking for after a loss to the Chiefs on the prime time stage. The Washington Football Team put up a decent fight today (that included pushing the -14 Baltimore favored line), but they're just simply not in the class of their neighbors to the North who took home the 31-17 victory in this Beltway battle. The guys are here to discuss:

    - Positives and negatives

    - How the offense (and the QB) looked

    - The bounce back effort of the team, and specifically Matt Judon and Mark Andrews

    - And much more, as we open the mailbag and take your guys' questions

Thanks so much for listening guys, and we'll talk to you again very soon as we'll have our Bengals preview posted later in the week! Stay frosty.

Chief Don't Run ft. Carrington Harrison Sep 25, 2020
    Show notes

The boys are back, and it's already Week 3 of the NFL season. With what were ostensibly two tune up games out of the way for what's proving to be an expectedly strong Baltimore squad, the first real test of the season comes this Monday night against Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. Jake and Spencer are here to break down:

    - What it'll be like without fans

    - Injury updates

    - A mailbag segment

And an interview between Jake and CBS Sports Radio and 610 Sports' in Kansas City's Carrington Harrison (@cdotharrison). Carrington knows his stuff when it comes to KC sports and was kind enough to give us about 20 minutes of his time to give his thoughts on this matchup.

We hope you guys enjoy this one, and we'll talk to you again next week!
