“For me, social media never really did what I needed it to do, which was get me clients and drive traffic back to my website. As you know, social media platforms are designed to keep you there. So, after a lot of back and forth, and a love-hate – well, mostly hate – relationship with socials, I decided around Thanksgiving of 2021, “You know what, I am just going to try 30 days of nothing and see what happens.” It wasn't meant to be a forever thing, but it has ended up becoming that. Never say never, though. Maybe I'll get back on it one day, but I have no intention to at this point. It's been really cool to see that I don't need it.”

My Postpartum Journey | Ep. 260 Mar 27, 2023

On today’s episode, Ashley is so excited to share with the community all the details of her postpartum journey thus far. For those who followed Ashley and Maverick’s birth story on the podcast last month, today’s episode closes the loop of cliffhangers from that episode. Ashley now pulls back the curtain on everything that went on behind the scenes over the first few days and months of their beautiful new life as a family.
This raw, honest, and light-hearted conversation provides real introspection about the energetic codes motherhood teaches us which can serve as guidance for everyone. Ashley’s identity shift and learnings as a new mom parallel experiences that so many of us can relate to in life and business.
“Resetting the foundation is such a huge lesson for all of us because whatever it is that isn’t working in your life, or whatever feels hard or is stressing you out, I want you to ask yourself, ‘Where can I reset my foundation here? How can I allow myself the space to assess the situation instead of going on autopilot through the stress of it and tolerating it when I know it could feel better?’ You can decide that it can be different.”
A universal life lesson that we must remember is that life is always showing and leading us into experiences that we need in order to grow, evolve, shift, and become who we’re meant to be.
The reality is that life can be unpredictable. We go through unexpected twists, turns, and bumps in the road, and yet this is all part of the learning process, isn’t it? This process leads us into the most beautiful unfolding of what is present right now and where life could potentially lead us next.
So, start embracing the unknown and lean into trusting your intuition more. Cultivate the connection you have within yourself because you already know what’s best for you. ✨

Mind-Body Healing Ft. Danielle Joy | Ep. 259 Mar 20, 2023

On today’s episode, Ashley is joined by an amazing soul, Danielle Joy. With a background of over 15 years in counseling and mental health studies, Danielle’s entrepreneurial side, paired with her desire to help people and make a difference, made her realize she could do both simultaneously, which led to the creation of her practice called Mind Body Counseling.
Danielle values a holistic approach to the therapeutic relationship with an emphasis on the mind-body connection. In sessions, Danielle incorporates therapeutic modalities including cognitive-behavioral therapy, reparenting therapy, and mindfulness therapy. Danielle believes therapy doesn’t have to be one sided, and it can be an opportunity for interaction and getting to experience each other as real people. Danielle strives to help people overcome their anxiety and stress to find inner peace and healing.
“We're so conditioned to expect the level of stress we have in our lives, and we don't realize the impact that it has on us until it shows up like you're saying, this feeling bubbling up in your body that many don’t realize is anxiety.”
