“Honey, the pediatrician suggested we can start solid foods with our little guy. I am kind of excited! This is all new stuff for us!”

“Honey, that is so great! Can we give him cookies?”

“Honey, our little guy does not need cookies to be his first food. But you do have a good point – the pediatrician didn’t really specify how I should start or what kinds of foods I should start with. I don’t really even know how much I should give him! Oh no! This is becoming scary!”

“Honey, don’t panic. This must be a pretty common issue because Dianne and Abby just did an episode on this for the Badass Breastfeeding Podcast. Why don’t you go listen and that will probably answer a lot of your questions!”

By popular demand, Dianne and Abby have finally done an episode on starting solids! You asked, and we delivered. Check it out and feel free to share the episode with other mothers who may be missing out!

“Honey, I was talking about breastfeeding today with a co-worker when someone else we work with asked how long I planned to breastfeed. He said that his wife breastfed and he was supportive of breastfeeding, but that he didn’t see the value after six months and asked how YOU felt about it and if YOU support continued breastfeeding past 6 months.”

“Honey, that’s so strange! I have never even considered that breastfeeding doesn’t have value after a certain date.”

“Me either. I can’t even describe how that conversation made me feel. Kind of like society was trying to control my choices. It’s implied that partners should not support breastfeeding long term, and the only reason I can think of is sexual. That’s not ok.”

This week Dianne and Abby talk about how things may be said or implied to control your breastfeeding relationship with your baby. Maybe you don’t even realize that this is what’s happening! After you listen to this week’s podcast, you might realize that this has been happening all along!

    Show notes

Submit your question and we’ll answer it in a future episode!

“Honey, we were talking about sleep in my mom’s group. One of the mamas was saying that her baby has not fed during the night in months. I am still feeding our little guy during the night. Do you think there is something wrong? They said maybe he isn’t getting enough milk and that’s why he is still waking.”

“Honey, I’m not sure. However, I would think that it is different for all babies, right?”

“Hmmm, maybe. I’m going to go listen to the Badass Breastfeeding Podcast. Dianne and Abby are talking about night feeds this week. That will help!”

This week, Dianne and Abby take on the topic of night feeds. Is it normal? Is your supply low? Is this something that will go on forever? Are you being punished for something? Listen this week and get the answers to all of those questions and much, much more.

    “Like what, honey?”

“Well, I was feeding him this afternoon and he reached his hand in to grab the nipple he wasn’t nursing from. I kept trying to redirect him, but it wasn’t working. I’m not sure if this is normal?”

“Hey honey, I was at the pediatrician today and the nurse told me that I shouldn’t let our little guy nurse and fall asleep. She said that will start bad habits and I should put him to sleep while he is still awake so he can learn to go to sleep on his own. I feel awful! I have been doing it wrong all this time. Do you think I have ruined everything?”

“Honey. No!! Please listen to the Badass Breastfeeding Podcast this week. Dianne and Abby are all fired up about this. You are NOT doing anything wrong at all!! You’ll understand and feel much better once you listen.”
