    On this episode of BSTV, Ya Boi Shad and G. Downs sat down with the legendary Jody Breeze, a member of the iconic hip-hop group Boyz-N-Da Hood. They began by discussing his upbringing in Griffin, Georgia, and his subsequent move to South Florida for school. However, early trouble led to a move back to Griffin with his family. Breeze then recounted his journey into rap, revealing that he wasn’t initially drawn to the genre but was discovered by a local radio station after freestyling over the phone. This chance encounter led to a meeting with Jazzy Pha, who ultimately signed him to his label before the age of 18. After signing with Jazzy Pha and Noontime., Breeze went on to join Boyz-N-Da Hood with Young Jeezy, Big Duke, and Big Gee, and release the hit single “Dem Boyz.” The song became a global phenomenon, and one of the biggest songs out at the time. Breeze addressed a recent story made by Jeezy on the Drink Champs platform, where he claimed that Jeezy had everyone leave the studio to record his verse. He clarified that this was not the case.     On this episode of “Bad Speakers TV,” Ya Boi Shad and G. Downs sat down with the self-proclaimed prince of the South, Lil Scrappy. Lil Scrappy shared his life story, starting with his upbringing in Atlanta, Georgia, with his grandparents. Later, he moved in with his mother, unaware that he would stay with her for the rest of his adolescence. After relocating to a more urban area with his mother, Lil Scrappy faced challenges with kids who were more advanced than him. He also spoke about his mother’s drug dealing, pimping, and hustling activities, including hiding money in various locations. Lil Scrappy’s journey into hip-hop began when he started writing music at the age of 10. With his mother’s financial support he engaged in activities like photo shoots and CD printing to promote his music. A pivotal moment came when Lil Scrappy met Lil Jon and signed with BME Records after his hit song “Head Bussa” became a local sensation. He also recounted how he secured a record deal for the Atlanta group Crime Mob by simply mentioning the group to the record label. Lil Scrappy discussed the success of his hit single “Knuck If You Buck” and how he felt compelled to jump on the record. He also spoke about the breakup of Crime Mob and the reasons behind it. Lil Scrappy shared his early hit “No Problems” and mentioned his first album as a joint effort with the group Trillville. He also talked about the tension he faced when he wanted to collaborate with hip-hop icon and mogul 50 Cent. Lil Scrappy described 50 Cent’s personality and how he offered financial assistance during a difficult time when Lil Scrappy needed mouth reconstructive surgery. He also discussed his hit single “Money in the Bank” and how it led to a residuals deal with the WWE. The WWE named one of their pay-per-views after the song, and Scrappy continues to receive money from them to this day. He then talked about signing with Ludacris and how the deal didn’t work out in the long run. He also discussed the hit single “Bang” by Young Jeezy featuring Scrappy and T.I. and how the song came about. There was also an unreleased video for the song. He spoke about Kanye West and his recent rent situation, explaining why he understands some of Kanye West’s statements. He also discussed how he earns money from the hit single “Buy You a Drink” by T-Pain and Young Joc because they used the song’s money in the bank.


    He also talked about dating Amanda Seales.

    He also discussed Love and Hip Hop Atlanta, explaining his decision to join the show and how the opportunity arose. He addressed the authenticity of the show, delving into the viral episode where he and Stevie J engaged in a fight. Additionally, he shared insights into his relationship with his baby mom, Erica, and his interactions with other cast members on the show.

    Gorilla Zoe also spoke about joining Boyz N Da Hood after Jeezy’s departure. His debut album exceeded expectations, propelling him to international stardom as a rap artist.     BAD SPEAKERS PODCAST EPISODE 176 "FREDDY KRUGER" FEATURING TRAPBOY FREDDY Mar 30, 2025

    On this episode of Bad Speakers TV, we had the privilege of sitting down with one of the most influential and dedicated artists emerging from Dallas, Texas—Trapboy Freddy.


    Freddy began by sharing his upbringing in the Oak Cliff area of Dallas, being one of five children raised by his mother while his father was absent. Tragically, his father passed away when he was younger. Despite these challenges, Freddy managed to secure his own apartment and a Trap house at the age of 14 and started driving to high school by the age of 15.


    He then delved into his journey into hip-hop, expressing his innate talent and belief in his potential for success from the very beginning. Freddy’s breakthrough came when he secured his first feature from the renowned Atlanta superstar, Young Thug. He also discussed his collaboration with Lil Boosie, forming a strong bond that would shape their future together.


    After that, he discussed signing with 300 Entertainment and fulfilling his contract with the label, despite a few legal run-ins. Now, he’s fully going independent with his career.


    Freddy’s friendship with rapper Yella Beezy, who grew up in the same neighborhood, was another significant aspect of his life. However, he also addressed the controversy surrounding Yella Beezy’s arrest for capital murder of Mo3.


    Freddy’s breakout single, “Pick 6,” featuring some of the hottest artists from Dallas, Texas, further solidified his status in the hip-hop scene. He expressed his desire to collaborate with future artists and highlighted his other business ventures beyond music, including owning a car dealership and selling dogs.


    Freddy’s passion for jewelry and the recent decline in its prices were also discussed. He concluded the interview by sharing his upcoming projects and expressing his excitement about the future.

    He also regaled the audience with stories of his early passion for rap music, starting at the tender age of nine and honing his craft by learning how to format a song. Alley Boy then recounted the genesis of the record label Duct Tape Entertainment, highlighting his role as the first flagship artist. He candidly addressed the pressure he faced to become a superstar, acknowledging the challenges and sacrifices he made along the way.


    The conversation took a dramatic turn as Alley Boy spoke about his involvement in an armed robbery and murder charge at the age of 18. He then shared a heartwarming story of meeting Gucci Mane at the age of 17, describing a friendship that has endured to this day. Alley Boy also spoke about his mentorship under Big Bank Black, taking on a leadership role in his early career.


    The conversation continued with Alley Boy reflecting on the day he signed with Atlantic Records, expressing regret for not choosing Def Jam Records. He candidly discussed his dissatisfaction with the promotion he received from Atlantic Records, feeling that they didn’t fully support his artistic vision. Despite this, Alley Boy remains proud of owning his masters and publishing rights, ensuring that his legacy will continue to thrive after he’s gone.


    Alley Boy then delved into his close friendship with hip-hop superstar Future, sharing stories of their lifelong bond and shared upbringing in the same neighborhood. He also addressed his long-standing feud with Jeezy and T.I., expressing his belief that Jeezy lacked genuine character. Despite this, Alley Boy maintains a cordial relationship with T.I., emphasizing that their beef was never serious.


    The conversation concluded with Alley Boy’s move to Los Angeles to collaborate with hip-hop legend Master P and Fat Trell. He also spoke fondly of his close friendship with Nipsey Hussle, recounting the time he brought Hussle to Atlanta for the first time. He also spoke on once moving to Denver to acquire knowledge about cultivating marijuana. Subsequently, he delved into his conflicts with his former collaborator, Yung LA, explaining that he had to distance himself from him because LA was not in a state of mental well-being. He also briefly touched upon the passing of his close friend and labelmate, Trouble. Lastly, he discussed his upcoming projects and the new music he will be releasing soon.
