The Oregon Duck football program has added their 18th verbal commitment to its Pac-12 leading recruiting class of 2021. Matt Prehm and Erik Skopil have released an emergency podcast breaking down all things Oregon Duck football recruiting.

Three-star weakside defensive end prospect Christian Burkhalter has given the Ducks his commitment. The Oregon 2021 recruiting class now holds 18 non-binding verbal commitments from prospects all across the country. The class is ranked No. 3 in the nation and first among Pac-12 programs. Oregon's recruiting class holds commitments from players from Arizona, Alabama, California, Colorado, Mississippi, Nevada, New York, Oregon, Texas, and Utah.

On Monday, July 20th the California Interscholastic Federation, which oversees high school sports in the state of California, announced a change in their sports calendar and that sports will not be played until 2021 within the state at the high school level. This means high school football will be played as late as mid-April of 2021. How does this impact the recruitment of prospects within the state of California and the college programs recruiting them? Could we see this idea spread across the country for all other states' high school sports? Some football prospects in the 2021 class from the state of California are already announcing if they'll play football in the spring in high school, or enroll early at their college choice instead. Could we see athletes in college follow high school athletes and sit out the upcoming 2021 season if it is also played in the spring?

The Oregon Ducks have gone out and landed their 17th verbal commitment, and the team's 13th four-star or better prospect for the class of 2021. Simply put, Oregon football is recruiting at a level we've hardly seen before and it doesn't look like they'll be stopping any time soon.

Matt Prehm and Erik Skopil break down four-star defensive lineman Keanu Williams' commitment to the Oregon football program.

Williams is ranked as the nation's 313the best prospect regardless of position in 2021, the 20th best defensive end in the country, and the state of California's 30th best player. He held a scholarship offer from every school in the Pac-12, as well as 10 other FBS programs.

The biggest non-conference game in Oregon football history just got canceled, now what?

This week the Big Ten conference announced that they would no longer play non-conference football games for the upcoming 2020 football season. That news wiped out the upcoming September 12th game between likely top 10 teams Oregon and Ohio State at Autzen Stadium. The game was going to likely be the marquee non-conference football game in all of college football this season, and the biggest for Oregon in school history.
